Clutch fork return spring

I have looked at diagrams and from what I can see one side of the spring attaches to the clutch fork- got it, no problem. The other end allegedly connects to a notch in the bell housing? Trans is a borg warner T10. The kit I got from brewers came with two springs. Not sure which to use. The old spring disappeared at some point and the nut came off the back of the clutch rod adjuster and the clutch pedal slammed to the floor. Does anyone have an idea where the return spring should attach? And which is correct? Thanks! One spring keeping me off the road

There should NOT be a nut on the back of that adjuster rod (blue arrow) - that's just going to cause things to bind. Get rid of it !!!

Use the long spring - it goes in the NOTCH hidden by the boot (yellow arrow) in the fork then to the bellhousing - which may or may not have a notch - I can't remember

Is there something else that goes on there to hold the rod in??

Nothing is needed. The spring holds the fork forward against the adjusting side.
