K member engine mount question

Take a look at the circled mount. I just noticed the ears are gone in the front of the driver side engine mount. Is that an issue? I don’t recall the motor being uneven. Should that be rectified before I install my 440?

what car? Does the bolt go threw the hole? Are the ears just a guide for to set the engine in?

Looks like a 73-up K frame.
Does the bolt go straight through the hole and not at an angle or does it just sit on top?
If the answers are no and yes, which is my guess, then I'd be fixing it.

The ears are important to properly locate the motor and then to keep it in place.

That needs to be fixed. There is nothing for the front of the motor mount to bolt to.

Kinda looks like it was modified to use the holes beneath the slots.

I think you are right. The 72 down mounts might bolt in there, or maybe some other fabricated mounts.
