Yes very little.

Im wrong usually OEM stuff is pink or blue.

There was a class action against Toyota on that model engine - high oil consumption.

Thanks.....I found all that out after I bought a car with that engine for my wife.

Uses more oil than it should. In contrast, my son's 2002 Corolla uses hardly any oil and is as reliable as a Swiss watch.

The antifreeze is rather hard on the rest of the components.
Pressurize the coolant system and see how fast it leaks down. Maybe pull the plugs and see if there's any "clean" ones. Maybe just a head gasket.

Yep....I thought that also. The more I looked, the more duds I saw.

I only regret not consulting my mechanic friend prior to purchase. The dealer knowingly sold me a lemon.
