so did he get banned for calling rumblefish psychotic? :angel1:

where is that stirring the pot smiley?

No, his threat to kick my *** and the foul mouth got him a week.

Well RD, thia position I'm in is truly thankless. I've had my life threatened several times because people can not post what they want. As well as when people get caught as a lier and called on it. (As in olibass1's case)

I found a black club and called it a black club. It is what it is. You can't call it a 4 of hearts cause it isn't.

He got upset at my blunt post, (of for which I am and will never be anything but blunt and honest about it,) and went off calling me a psycotic, and a few other things.

OK, whatever. I get that and your abuse of your power is a ....bla bla bla it never ends the angles of attack people carry on with. 1st ammendment, personal, lack of rights/freedoms, abilties stunted.

It's allways due to my Neplo. umm, ian. (The lil'french guy wiuth his hand in the jacket who wanted the world guy) Um, what else, OH! Lack of meds, corupttion, taking money, Not doing my job and being paid to much to be a MOD.

Dudes, I don't get paid. Thanks, lol, but no thanks.

Anyways, He wants to kick my ***. OK fine, take a number, get in line, let me know when your in town so I can be around for ya (And the police)

FYI, a 5 year old can kick my ***. But so what ha ha ha ha. My broken down *** don't take it here or in the real world. I aint stupid ethier. 6'10" is scarry and hurts alot. (Please don't ask....)
I ain't fighten no one. Lets be serious here for a second. DONT we have BETTER things to do?

well.. we do.. but i dont cast stones. not on this board anyway.

~~edit~~

i have thought about it, and well, i will throw this out there. do with it what you may. (i am not condoning oilbass1's actions by saying this, just saying a different approach could have changed the entire thread for a learning experience for all).

BUT you probably could have answered his question in a more positive manner, instead of pretty much saying he was not smart enough and needed to read books on this before you would answer basic questions. that would have upset me to a bit. kind of condescending if you ask me.

just food for thought. chew on it.

RD, have yourself a good one, no matter where your at.

not trying to piss in your wheaties mate, but you did kick him in the nuts with the one post where you told him you were not going to help someone new at this and they should read up on it before you do help them.

I agree with the conveyance of knowledge, but it doesnt make it right that you dictate how the member should obtain that knowledge. if he chooses to come online here to find the knowledge, why should he buy books to gain it? why recreate the wheel? why spend the money? to find information about our cars is part of the reason why this forum is here right? from the novice to the expert.. we all have questions.

if any person does not want to answer a question, then the beauty of this forum is.. you dont have to.

I don't agree with you modifying the entire thread in afterthought. in some aspects, you were just as guilty as he in regards to instigation and flaming the fire.

if someone is dumb, does something stupid and gets banned for it.. great, i agree with you. but if the person doing the initial instigation then bans the guy. that, for lack of better terms, can be easily misconstrued as power-tripping and lead to a negative atmosphere, as well as, fear to "piss off" a moderator.

all i am saying is if this site is going to have a good flow of information from experienced to non-experienced members, it should be portrayed in a positive and constructive manner.

i, too, call a black club a black club. just throwing that out there to chew on and think about.

Weeeellllll, OK. Didn't mean to give a kick in the nutz. I just thought a book would be better than starting from ground up on carbs.

WHOA! NO! I am not doing that in anyway shape or form.

if he chooses to come online here to find the knowledge, why should he buy books to gain it? why recreate the wheel? why spend the money? to find information about our cars is part of the reason why this forum is here right? from the novice to the expert.. we all have questions.
1st Q; If he wants to come on line and find the info, fine, great, his choice, whatever, we are all here doing the same. However, since he appreears to be at a base level, ground level, a book is an excellent ref. and can be in the garage at all times for a quick check. (This I did state to him as a post in the thread as a suggestion and a good idea rather than stoppiong work (On the car) and coming in the house and proceeding from there.

Q2, Not trrying to recreate the wheel, just trying to stop the time it takes to travel the wheel around the edges to find the info when it could be at the page flip on a shelf in the garage.

Q3. Well, if spending a few bucks on a book is to much, then I'd have to say,,,,I think the car hobby is to expensive to get into. How much is a Holley book? $20? Delievered?

Q4; Yes, absoultely. I'm just trying to put it at his finger tips in the garage. Where the problem is most likely to be while working on the car.

if any person does not want to answer a question, then the beauty of this forum is.. you dont have to.
Agreed. And so I tried to help which leeds to the below....

I don't agree with you modifying the entire thread in afterthought. in some aspects, you were just as guilty as he in regards to instigation and flaming the fire.
Well, I can see both sides of the fence. It's a shame to take it that way. Typed print can be hard to inject feeling into it. While I joined the "Half cocked" replies, I did think twice and did the edit realizing, dealing with a 13 year old who is pissed off gets me no where and kills this place.

Do you feel I oaded him into call me psycotic and a asshole with nothing better to do than be a bully behind a key board starting this?

all i am saying is if this site is going to have a good flow of information from experienced to non-experienced members, it should be portrayed in a positive and constructive manner.
Agreed.

i agree mate, the written word without nonverbal communication is hard to overcome. i do not feel you goaded him into calling you those words, but in a sense, it did seem you (though unintentionally) did goad him with what I perceived (and obviously him) as a negative response.

i am not saying you are a terrible person. i dont know you mate. I am just saying that if I felt like there was condescension in your replies, then I can understand his reaction. I dont condone his reaction, I can just understand it.

I know your job is thankless, but you chose to have this responsibility. With this title you hold, answering questions that you perceive as basic and rudimentary are part of the job, because that same question could be as complex as the splitting of atoms to the person asking the question.

I hope I am conveying this appropriately without any disrespect intended.

thank you for hearing/reading me out. :D

OUCH! Well, thanks, i'll call thata heads up. Certainly didn't mean it that way.

Hummm, yeaaaa, I understand what your saying. Thus the reason I backed away from writing half a book on the basic operation of how a pumpshot works and how to adjust them."

I hope I am conveying this appropriately without any disrespect intended.
Absoultely and none takin!

thank you for hearing/reading me out :D
Anytime and for anyone.

In prison?

In November 1989, King robbed a store in Monterey Park, California using an iron bar to threaten and hit the store owner. He was convicted and sentenced to 2 years imprisonment.

On the 9th September 2010 it was confirmed that King is to marry Cynthia Kelly, who was Juror #5 from the case he brought against the City of Los Angeles

Wow...I've been a mod (at another site) for many years and have never ever had any of those kinds of problems....ya right :D

Don, lighten up, just a failed joke at Rodney getting married IN prison.
I'm in So Cal, so, I'm kinda familiar with Mr. Kings habits.

Anyhoo, being a mod isn't a job I would relish, but ya'll gotta remember that a mod is a person, too. By no means perfect, but he is trying to help for everyone's enjoyment.
