1965 Project car, started three years ago. Good Title, clean body, totally dismantled. Included is a 1958 Chrysler 392 Hemi Engine, which ran when parked. Did not smoke, has solid lifter 392, 380 hp which I have not had apart. Disk brakes...

All your work is VERY Well Done!
I have used OSPHO with pretty good results over the years. It is a good "keeper" of the metal until the body work is done, and I have always DA'd the bare metal (that had been OSPHO'd) with 80 or 100 grit before I put any substrate down. I've done several cars over several years, and have not...
Hey fellas, I have a question. I recenlty watched, for about the 6th time..(:>)...Project Overlord, a segment of Overhaulin'. Chip Foose '56 Ford PU was painted with a "single stage" black emamel. I have for several days on and off, attempted to locate the brand of "single stage" paint used...
I have used parts from SCHUMACHER CREATIVE SERVICES in Seattle. Their website might help direct you to the right direction.
Good luck with your project. The URL is: http://www.engine-swaps.com/
Thank you for the reply. The items are chrome, the interior window trim, both front and rear, and the chrome strips along the interior roof line. Because some if not most show signs of minor pitting, I'm wondering if blasting will be enough? Because of the pitting, would each item have to be...
Moose et all: After seeing your outstanding inner fender wells, I'd come to the conclusion, this is what I wanted. While it's different in style, your ideas set me in motion to do something along the same lines.
I've only completed one side so far, but I'm pretty happy with the result. The...
I have read in the past, where Chrome can be powder coated. I'm considering powder coating some of the interior trim pieces to a black chrome color. Have any of you guys had any experience with powder coating chrome and if so, what preparation did you do before sending the item(s) to the...
Yes sir, I understand completely. The build is moving along pretty well. The bottom of the car is done and painted. I had intentions of filling holes in the inner front wheel wells [i.e., Engine compt.] but after looking over the sheet metal and seeing a repair had not been done well years...
Nicely done, 5.7 At times, I wish I had made the selection of a newer engine, when I look at the parts list I've accumulated...a poor mans' Hemi, not in my lifetime.

Found a set of new 1/2" U bolts on ebay. A lot of sites want 40, 50 bucks for a set. I found these for less than $20 which included shipping. Love that EBAY!
No, this seam was not filled with lead. This is the way the car was built as far as I know. The quarter panels are actually "lapped" over the lower kick panel. I have only removed the original paint, so I am going to suggest, this is the way the factory released the car.
