Had a 50 degree day here yesterday so I went outside and started working on the mini split installation...
Power from the fusebox was completed to the disconnect...
Condensate lines were ran...
I started framing the platform for the outside unit to set on...
The platform ends up being 38"...
Cabinets are all finished and the large one was relocated to above where a workbench will be...
I resumed installing the 2" rigid insulation at the base of the walls covering the 2" on concrete block that was there...
Added the furring strips for the vertical board and batten siding that is...
So I had these cabinets that were removed from a demo job about 9 years ago...
Decent condition and there is no money in them so I figured I'd try and make them work...
They're just too deep and stick out too far from the wall...
The last cabinet has plumbing drain in the floor right up...
Nothing really new to report...
Plans are to remove the headers and send them out for sandblasting and paint...
I'm going to remove the valve covers and rockers and look everything over and re set the valves...
I also think I'm going to take the distributor out and soften up the springs and...
After all of the plywood was installed into the bulkheads I got back into installing the rough cut lumber on the truss's and bulkhead...
Added one more row of lights in front of the garage door...
Finished up the last garage door track bracket with rough cut...
So I ended up having 5 access points for the storage in the bulkheads...
Lighting is installed inside with a switch located above one of the access doors...
It ends up being about 60 L' of storage space in total roughly 3' wide and 18" high...
Started installing the rough cut lumber on the sides of the flat bottom trusses and the bulkheads...
It seems to really brighten things up...
This made it really easy to see all of the bulkhead space that was conditioned air that was not going to be utilized...

Finished installing the metal panels on the ceiling today...
I got the lights installed and called it a day...
It's a lot easier to keep it warm in there now with the insulation being about 98% finished...
Kind of made an impulse purchase last week...
Decided to put 2 mini-splits in and needed to get the line sets...communication cables and power ran through the stud walls prior to putting in the insulation...
They will both go along the back wall centered in each bay on each side...

R-38 Insulation is almost buttoned up in the ceiling...
This a brutal install with having to raise and lower the scaffold planking for the higher elevations...
Ended up climbing through the bulkheads and standing inside of them to get to the top on the back side of the cathedral truss where it...
I got pictures of the wood trim for the shelving at the top and liquidated a few boxes of trophy's from the basement...
Began installing the R-38 insulation in the ceiling of the other side of the garage...
In the one picture of the side of the truss you can see how high the insulation goes as...
No gas on my road at all or I would have had that brought in...
My hose bib on the house is 25 or so feet away so I didn't see a lot of sense in putting water in...
My contractor is milking me pretty good too right now...
I got the wood trim and the shelves finished...but didn't take any...
I had the new LG Minisplit units delivered yesterday...
Need to coordinate installation of line sets and wiring prior to closing in the balance of the insulation in the walls...
Continued framing the LH side bulkhead-shelf...
Installed almost all of the rough lumber...

I picked up more rough cut and finished the RH side of the truss's...
Went today and picked up 5/8" drywall and installed it on the bottom of the bulkhead...
I need a few finished 3/4" trim boards to finish the shelf and the face...
Did all I could do with what I had so I built the scaffold...
