Carlisle Chrysler Nationals

I am planning to be there have relatives in Hersey will be there on saturday

Give me a call on Saturday. I would like to see your guys cars. 412-849-6240
I will be in the Coronet section (oddly enough), but I usually see the guys on a forum that I help to moderate.

Getting ready to head out tomorrow hope to see some of you guys and your cars.

I was supposed to be there yesterday until a tree fell on my house literally a half an hour before I was to leave! Ain't that a pisser? Now dealing with a hole in the roof, insurance adjusters, disaster repair people and running off generator power till who knows when. I did send some parts down with my 3 buddies, so you guys do me a solid and head over to the swap meet and spend some money! Hope you all have a good time without me and stay cool!

I have to cancel due to the fact that I do not want to melt in the 101 degree blazing sun.

Got back late last night. No doubt pulled out .... somewhat early...and it was the heat. When it hit 100 degrees, the wife said "I have had enough" and that was fine with me.
A big disappointment of the attendance. I took the Savoy out to the Car Corral. Only about 50% of the Corral filled and a major decrease in the Showfield. No doubt it was a mixture of thins that kept the attendance down. My friend that ALWAYS goes as a parts vendor said sales were really good.
No one buying anything at the Corral.....unless it was 10k or down. We all felt (after long conversations in the shade) that....with the major storm the week before and people still w/o electric, the economy with people loosing their jobs & houses and selling their toys at half the value in order to get dollars, along with the super high temperatures..............this is what kept the attendance down.
Not even one offer on the Savoy but a lot of complements and wishes (that if I had the money). But still had a nice time seeing everyone again this years.

My wife and I didn't go,,, We kept speeking of the heat, and how terrible it must be being STUCK outside all day long!
I'm hoping for some relief during the Mopar Nationals this year! I Want / Need to attend a major Mopar event before the summer is gone!
Guess I'll have to go regardles...

Does anyone have pictures from Carlisle to post yet????

Yea the heat sucked and I was a little disappointed in the turnout. I got what I needed (and didn't need) and had a great time though. Even got to park at the retro dealership. Worst part was trying to fit 4 BFGs mounted on 15" cop car wheels along with a rear 72 bumper into my car. Definitely hot, must of drank me 15 dr peppers

I never made it I cant breathe when it's that hot saw the hand writing on the wall, first show I missed in 10 years!

Just got in a couple hours ago, and yeah it was HOT, and did get a pretty good storm passing through Sat. early evening. Attendance may have been down, and they didn't give away a car this year, but it is still Carlisle. Here are some of the 800 pics I took. I'll start with a members car who took first place in his class, no small feat for this event that always attracts fine examples in every class. Congrats to Jerley87 for your excellent work on your 68 Runner.
