So Here we go...LOL
My z28 project to complete to keep and fix the SS project :)
I had cut one side out a while agpo but the other side is fresh. I had been grinding on it previous and done some body work and then spotted it with epoxy primer. This is where the pictures begin.
You can see the two area's I will be attempting to fix

New trunk lid on it, I'll need to drill the holes to mount the rear spoiler

i see you are at it again in the drivewaym bet your neighbors like that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL, they dont ask me for permission before they do anything so I dont feel a need to ask them .. Its just temp..LOL until I put up the garage extension/carport with moving walls :)

A man should be able to do with his house and property as he wishes as long as it doesnt present a health issue.

We selected to live here because there was a lack of neighborhood association. I dont like the tent myself either but I have to do what I have to do. Fipping cars in my driveway is not my intention. Getting done with a few projects is. It'll be gone as soon as I can.

Good work man! I don't care it's a chevy....at least you're out there getting it done and learning as you go, that's what counts. As far as the neighbor's...well, they don't pay your property taxes or your bills so I guess they're SOL. I could see if you opened up a firing range in your backyard or had nightly polka concerts, but tooling away on an old car....bahhhh! I doubt if they even care.

The work you learn to do on a chebbie today, will be perfected on a Mopar tomorrow.

Thats the way I see it :)
I'm gonna do a full quarter on the SS so I'm getting in all the practice now..LOL

Looks good, especially for a first try. One trick to help make sure the weld has no holes- put a light behind it either while in shadow or night. But- it still is a good job.

LOL... There is one in every crowd.. yes it isnt what a pro would have done but as noted it was my first attempt.

Now as far as the paint and dust yes I guess you do have a point there but there is no law against a person having a hobby. I believe your law is directed at businesses. The reason being would be due to the volume and polution generated by a business. Most of the laws that apply to businesses dont apply to individuals as they dont generate enough hazardouse material to be considered a threat. Me painting two or maybe even three cars in my driveway over the course of 14 years isnt a threat to anyone. ( except maybe an insecure shop owner)

And to be honest if you have a problem with it the problem lies within yourself. I'm not here to solve that for you so we'll just end it with have a nice day you dont need to be in the thread anymore :)

looks good...for first attempt at patch work its very good..keep up the good work...were did u get the tent or carport? iv been looking for one like that to store my trans am in for the winter..i put mopar in garage.and trans ams outside now..i like the one u got looks like u can take down when done pretty easy and put up

damn that tents huge...and very affordable...im gonna look into it and get one...one that size gives me enough room to get another car..and a place to work on...i only have a 1 car garage and its to small

they have smaller ones as well, but the size was real nice

Hope I didnt offend- just posted a trick I picked up that I found helpful. Thankfully, no one saw my first panel patch... Like I said, it looks great, a bit of finishing, and no one will know about it...

I took rebar and drove it 3 feet into the gorund and then threw rope over the top to tie it down... It holds up decent... It got trashed earlier in the mini tornado in my making progress thread so I went the rebar route and its been in place ever since.
I would buy it again. It's decent for what it is
