I have a 70 Road Runner that was a 383 /4-speed with factory A/C and I cant seem to find any production figures for how many were made this way.
I think it is a rare bird but how rare?

Any number gurus out there know?

I don't think there is a way to know the production number. Typically, you cannot cross reference two items such as the transmission and an option like A/C to get a production figure.

Are four speed A/C cars uncommon.... yes.

"Rare"?....Ok, sure it's "rare".

I had always heard no AC with 4 speed ,but there seems to be more popping up now with people keeping track of things and the internet to post what you have.I always thought my 70 with AC,cruise control, power windows,steering,brakes,6 way drivers seat, bucket seat consol auto-DSC00077.JPG matic was rare, but no one ever told me it was!!I like it,so wouldnt have it.

With all those options, makes you wonder why whoever ordered it didn't just order a GTX.

And we are giving it away....

Can't speak to the numbers, but nice looking ride!

If you like it, be sure to buy some raffle tickets as we are going to be giving this car away. There are only less than 2500 of the 5000 total tickets that we started with left to be had.
It is the official charity car for this year's Mopars at the Strip in Vegas. Stop by our display at the show and pick up some tickets there.

Well it absolutely certainly is rare if the fender tag and or build sheet confirm which i don't doubt they do, it's probably 1 of 1 with those exact options, trim, colors etc but so would a lot of cars that have odd options, color, trim combos etc. However your car optioned that way from the factory is HIGHLY DESIRABLE due to many things like color / interior / bucket console and has rare options by themselves like the cruise,6 way seats, pwr windows in a 70 RR no less. Many people don't care but none the less it's still cool when you have optioned out like yours.

Nice RR! and yes they are rare and more importantly highly desirable by many. in my experience I've seen quite a few but they were in texas and other hot climates. not to many here in Illinois that were ordered here. I've had two AC 4 speed RRs, 69 and a 70 and two autos .. 68 RT and 70 Sat conv all texas cars.

maybe thought RR with dustrail was cooler the the fat two stripes down the side of the car :). I personally have never been a big fan of those stripes although i don't hate them. If i was ordering one new today i would probably delete them.

Nice car even appears to have the correct contrast Road Runner grille and headlamp bezels
