this is my little old lady from long beach, calif car. i bought it from her for 300 bucks. all stock when i got it. then i got busy. it is a 6 cylinder car and looked like he!!. she couldn't see very well, as she was 86 years old, she kept running into the poles that held her car port up. it had dents all the way down the sides. i put tires and rims , took out the seats, installed buckets, put a roll bar in, small steering wheel and drove it for about a year. within that year the oil pressure dropped to nothing and seized the motor. it sat for about 8 years until my brother wouldn't stop harping at me to get it running again. i will say this upfront. i have the worst luck with 6 cylinder engines. my whole life. i could tell you stories from now till next week of all the bad experiences i have had with them. anyway, when the motor seized it stopped at this certain location. i had acquired a 440 and a 331 hemi to put in it but just couldn't get the money up to install them. after the 8 years i finally took my brothers advise and bought a '69 valiant 6 cylinder car for 300 bucks. i drove it home and it seized up at the exact same spot the '63 did. it sat again for about 3 years until i took them both apart and made one out of them. i drove it for about 5 years and everybody kept griping about the many colors of blue and primer on it and said i should paint it. so i did. then the oil pressure started to drop again and yup you guessed it, it sat again. it still runs but i don't drive it anymore as i have a ton of projects to do and can't get to it. i did acquire a 318 v8 and think i will put that in it for now as my brother got a '65 Plymouth recently and has started giving me grief again about it.

Dang . . . I'll give you $300 for it now ! ! ! ( SMILE ) What a cool car and a cool story to go along with it ! ! !

Cool looking car, more pics please.

Good to hear the '63's adventures of smashing into poles are over. Now on to an engine that doesn't lock up like Ft. Knox. Good luck on getting the Plymouth back on the Cali streets.

My 63 also started life as a slanty with 3 on the tree. The 3 speed column is till in the car:happy11:
