Hi and Happy 2015! I've got a '71 Charger SE with a '68 383. I have model 1968069 HP Exhaust Manifolds and I've already got the machine gun tips. Not a race car. I was thinking of going with a Flowmaster 817391 exhaust system and super 44 or 40 mufflers. I was watching Graveyard Cars last night and Accurate Exhaust was mentioned. I see they have a whole system and you can add Magnum Mufflers. I wonder which route is best to go for piping and mufflers? - Cost and quality (don't want to have them for only a few years).... Accurate, Classic Industries, Flowmaster, muffler shop down the street, or?

Th more information the better since this is my first time plumbing on this car. T/Y!

TTI's really good quality and nice fit (can get aluminused mild steel and i believe stainless
Pypes do a stainless kit

IMO i would use dynomax mufflers over flowmaster as they are a bit tingy

X2 on the TTI`s ...i also have the dynomax mufflers with 3 inch pipes...had a flowmaster system with 44,s...on my last ride..........TTI and dynomax all the way...........MO..

I went with TTI pipes on my last 2 cars. Top notch stuff and mandrel bent to boot. I put an Accurate Exhaust system on a 69 RR convertible about 8 years ago also. It is nice, but is more for if you want a factory look and size. I also like the Dynomax offerings better than Flowmaster - just my 2 cents.

I had tti custom bend me a complete exhaust system out stainless steel pipes for my 69 Charger.

TTI. Dynomax. Don't forget the QTP's.

Wow everybody likes Dynomax, I'll stick to my Flowmasters for the hollow throaty sound and I don't like mufflers with packing. Can't say much about the kit's though, I like to build my own exhaust and liked the Pypes X kit that I used for my last one.

Flowmasters till I die. Amazing sound and solid solid performance with NEVER any maint issues. I even have a set of old black boxes from one of my mustangs back in the early 90s

I don't mind the sound of Flowmasters at all, but the obnoxious drone from 1800 - 2200 rpm gets old after awhile to me.

With TTI can you just call them and give them the make and model of your car and they put together your exhaust system?

Yes, and let them know the engine and exhaust manifold's part numbers too.

3" Flowmasters no drone sound everybody complains about but the 1800 - 2200 rpm vearly keeps it moving.

Yes, but it is cheaper to go through Bill at Chicago Connection for your TTI stuff. He will take care of everything for you. Great guy to do business with.

hunt2elk I wish you were a neighbor! I called Chicago Connection and spoke with Tim. I got a complete TTi exhaust system and manifold gaskets (wonder where I got the manifolds ;) for less than I would have spent with TTi themselves - and they are in California. Shipping was free except for a small $12.99 fee, and yay on the sales tax! I decided with the help of Tim to go with a 2.5" version X-pipe system since my build isn't that aggressive. Thanks all and a Mopar day to you all!

I love glasspacks. They're obnoxously loud and fun to drive with! And they only cost around $40 a piece.
