Hi Guys--

I'm rebuild my 71 Charger this winter and I just removed the K-member and all front-end stuff.
It is originally a 383 car, but now has a 440 with iron heads I am rebuilding to put in it.
I measured the t-bars in it and they were .88" size. I thought stock BB cars had bigger bars? Maybe the PO switched them for drag racing as the rear spring set up is a Cal-Trac monoleaf with their ladder-bar-esque set-up.
It also has a front sway bar, 1-1/8" not sure what brand, but it is gold.

Just wondering what size I should run on the t-bars. I want to corner well, but I don't want to feel every bump in the road. I like a comfortable ride. I also like the front end to ride a little higher than stock.

Thanks for any input!!!!

You can probably go up to 1" on that but I'd call Firm Feel and get their input.

I used the .92 on my 72 charger 440...I wish I went 1 inch, it still seems soft......my .02

I figured a 71 Charger is such a long, heavy car that I could get away with running stiffer bars without feeling it too hard on my *** when going over potholes. But I definitely don't want too harsh a ride, as I am aiming to create a daily driver out of this beast.
Thanks again guys. Any additional input will help. I'd love to hear what other guys are running.
