It's been a while since my last visit, I want to purchase an all in one AC kit. My car used to have factory ac, but it's been ripped out of there years ago. I also want to convert the rear to disc brakes, pretty much a full dic upgrade kit. There are several out there, but I am wanting to see what the users have to say.

Thank you.

Why not put the a.c. back to factory? You can get new condenser, evaporator, drier, hoses, and a remanufactured rv2 compressor? Maybe more expensive however than an aftermarket kit.

Classic Auto Air in Tampa is a good source for AC parts for original equipment as well as aftermarket systems.
www.musclecarbrakes.com is an alternative to rear discs. Good luck.

Skylinekiller, I have a 73 road runner and am running wilwood disc all around, got them threw summit racing. and switched over to vintage air since I have pro toured my car,,BUT I have most of the factory air condition parts, figure somebody might be interested in them

What wilwood kit are you running? Im thinking about putting disc all around on my 74 Roadrunner. Where you happy with the end result?

73 Rattler, I was under the impression the aftermarket AC's function much better than the original, is that why you jumped to after market? Do the 73 Roadrunner components fit my 73 charger? What condition are your old parts? How are the Willwoods doing? Did you notice significant better braking?

DennisH, why did you reccommend keeping to factory AC? Just to keep it original or performance? I'm curious to hear your take.

Timberice, the willwood kit I used for my Road Runner was part number 140-7144 for the rear,,it has the internal parking brake..and the front is part number140-11019...I haven't really had a chance to really check how they work yet as I have only drivin the car 5 miles. I also am running the hydro boost and willwood master cylinder..I have the same system on my 1972 amc matador station wagon and I love it. I can stop on a dime and on my wagon I have had it on there for 2 years now and no problems at all.

skylinekiller,,after market diffently out does the factory units, my old unit worked fine, just lost the charge on it do to a loose fitting at the firewall.I discover that when I was taking it aout of the car during tear down.I have the hoses and unit under the dash and switches..and I do think the mounting is the same between the roadrunner and charger,,the dashes between both cars are pretty much the same for 73 and 74. The hoses are only 2 years old and the unit is origial when I biult the car the first time around a few years ago I cleaned it all up . I saved it just in case someone might want it that is restoring thiers back to stock.

My Coronet R/T is a non-ac car from factory. Aftermarket ac from Classic has been ice cold and reliable for 9 years. Never a leak or recharge. Distribution is better now too. Mine uses the old cable box.

classic in Tampa doesn't offer AC aftermarket or OEM for my 73 chcarger... per their email.. any other suggestions??

That is interesting about not having OEM, as i would think, most components should be same as 73 Roadrunner, i.e., the compressor should be same RV2, condensor/evaporator maybe different sizes i guess, but dont know for sure. They had all the stuff for my RR, and rebuilt my compressor and lines.
