Help Please!!! Windshield Trim Clips

Guys and Gals,

I might be in trouble. I have an appointment to install my windshield and back glass on Monday.

Most important question: Can the trim clips be put on after the windshield and back glass is installed?

Looks like I don't have all the right clips and now it is too late to get them by Monday. Just to confirm: Do I need 10 of the bottom left clip and 14 of the top clip for the windshield? Also, I think I need around 22 of the middle clip for the rear window? I have some of the right clip, but I don't think that is a proper clip for my car.

Any help you can provide would be most appreciated. Thanks for the help,

No they can't. The windshield and seal prevent access to the screws which hold the clips into position. To determine what type and quantity of clips you need, you'll have to tell us the year and model of vehicle.

you might be able to get away with it in the rear, but the windshield with seal, maybe not. just keep in mind the thickness of the glass and how your clips go in. glass does not cover the clips.

Like mentioned...........No, the screwheads will be obscured.

Yes, that is correct.

Also, I think I need around 22 of the middle clip for the rear window? I have some of the right clip, but I don't think that is a proper clip for my car.

You need 20 of them, and yes........it would be the center clip in the bottom row of your pic.

As usual, thanks for the information. I scrounged around and failed to get the clips I needed short term, so the windows didn't get installed. It was my own dumb fault - so live and learn.

At least now I know exactly what I need to order!
