I am really on the fence on the direction I really should go with the front end of my 67 gtx clone. I buiding a nicely stanced resto mod type of car. I priced out a complete overhaul of the current factory suspension and to be honest its not really that much less than some of the aftermarket systems. Now before I get all sorts of confusion this is what im talking about

replacement manual steering box (replacing current power steering)
poly bushings
upper and lower control arms
sway bar
torsion bar
torsion bar mount (mine is rusted and either needs a support cap or total replacement
Disk brakes
adj strut rods
K member reinforcement and or repair
shocks

I was doing all the math and its within $1000 of what a total system can be purchased for.

Is it worth spending the extra coin? Is it even noticeable? the adjustability of the coil overs is a definite bonus. I have been looking at the AJE setup and the mopar deny stuff.

Opinions are like...

What are your goals? How much will you drive it? Any racing or just to church and cruise ins?

I have a Hotchkis TVS and love it. My car is a daily driver that I like to push a little harder than needed as it is a toy after all. A thousand may not be a lot but you could use that somewhere else that will affect your driving or showing experience more.

I plan on driving it. Its not a show car trailer queen. Building it to have fun
