I installed my torsion bars
I installed new adjustable new torsion bar adjuster blocks and screws

Before i adjusted the height, the front of the car was low
I lifted the car to take pressure off the front end
I adjusted the torsion bar screws in lower control arms and car started to raise as its is supposed to

then it would go anymore. Wound up breaking the screw believe it or not

So something is off

Anyone can tell me the proper procedure so I can do it again

thanks

Aftermarket torsion bars?

Hi.
No I reinstalled the original torsion bars
The left one on driver side. The right one on passenger side

I did powder coat the torision bars instead of painting them.

Don’t know if that would do anything

That won’t matter.
Put some anti seize on the adjuster bolt, makes adjusting so much easier. My guess is the original bolt was fatigued and dry, hence the break.

He used replacement bolts.
The originals are likely better.
But yes some oil or lube helps.

Did you drop the suspension as low as possible with the UCA bumpers and shocks removed ?

take a look at the video I made when i installed the torsion bars. I did everything correct. I removed the upper bumper stops, I had the suspension as low as it could go.

The hardware I used was new hardware and not the old hardware

this is video

What I do: anti-seize on the threads, dab of grease on the tip. Raise the k-frame slightly to relieve weight when adjusting t-bar bolts. Lower, jounce, measure. Repeat as required.
