Hello all, Merry Christmas etc!
I noticed that my 66Bel is low on the right rear by 3/4". Steering's good but it looks bad. I'd love to tell people that they are SS springs but the poly just doesn't back it up. I searches the forum and found choices of getting springs re-curved or buying new springs. Not sure where to re-curve springs in Hampton Roads VA. I'm on a low budget for a daily driver. I see Hellwig helper springs are adjustable. The springs are model specific and none match a 66 b body. Anyone here got ideas on how to raise one side by 3/4"?

Why not try lowering opposite front torsion abit. (Count the turns in case you want to put back) I assume the opposite front will be a little high right now.

Any large city will have a truck chassis and spring shop that can recurve and retemper your springs for you. HTH

Good luck finding someone to recurve springs. We have several large truck shops in Jacksonville who will work on trunk springs but all of them have stopped doing car springs.

Measure front height r & L before you do Anything!

Agreed, if the front is off it will affect the rear. I'd check everything else before looking at the springs, rotted frame, worn out bushings, broken spring, mitch matched shackles, etc. I had the exact same problem but in my case the leafs were brand new but not arched correctly, I had them re-arched.... problem solved. Just check the yellow pages or google and try to dig one up, I use black springs here in Zainseville Ohio.

If this happened fairly suddenly look for broken parts, front or rear. I have seen a spring set that had one of the leafs broken which we didn't see until we took the leaf stack apart. If everything is intact, re-arching works just fine even on springs with a lot of miles. We still have shops around here that do that work.

Make sure both FRONT spring mounts are bolted in the same...the ones at the front of rear springs, lol.
If one is up-side-down, it will throw things off a little.

There are lots of Mopar guys on your side of the water that could help you out ! As far as getting the springs curved, spring menders in Norfolk will be the ones to call.

What I heard one time is to jack the rear up by the pumpkin and then measure the front also make sure the front tire air pressure's are the same before adjusting

Thanks!

Thanks to everyone for the great ideas, suggestions and recommendations. I will measure all points per manual and look over the forward mounts. Talked to Spring Menders, you can bring them the springs or the whole car. You guys have provided a plan and a path.

Been lookin' at the new poly kits, maybe one day the right side will be low by design.

Yes measure the cars ride height at all 4 corners and make sure everything is good and nothing is broke. If all is well you should be able to adjust the torsion bars to level it. Heck everytime I put SS springs on our Mopars I have to adjust the torsion bars a little so it sits level.. Ron
