as you probably know already...
:worthless_thread:
This is me relaying a message that was relayed by my buddy, so I may be off. It sounded like the mounts were placed just far enough out of alignment that it was causing issues with drive train alignment, which was in turn causing the seals to leak, primarily the rear main.Friday, could you elaborate on the motor mount/trans mount alignment leak??
Probably worth considering. The shop said they used lasers to measure and align. Not sure how feasible or necessary that really is though. I'd been having leaks before dropping it off, so it makes sense for old issues I'd had.no, not really IMHO. I was askin cuz my rear main is leaking also. I replaced my motor mounts last year, and I replaced my trans mount the year before that. both sets of mounts I used are for my car, but the motor mounts are rubber and the trans is poly. Im just wondering if maybe the poly mount is affecting the rear main? or the oil pan leak for that matter....hmmmm
