Hello Everyone

My name is Brandon from Wisconsin. I am currently in the middle of a 70 Charger 440 Resto. Unfortunately as you can see, I need a new quarter Panel. Has anyone had any problems using Year One's full quarters?

I appreciate any help I can get.

Welcome to FBBO from NorCal

maybe put the question in the general discussion forum
this is the welcome wagon, not as many viewers as the other appr. forums,
it's intended use, for Intro's, a shared photo or 2 & getting to know each other,
not a Q&A tech forum section, there are Members Projects or Exterior Paint forum too,
that you may want to discuss this in...

Good luck

Cant help you but I can say that is a cool cool charger and I am VERY curious about your t top fox body sitting next to it!!!!!!

welcome to FBBO cool charger keep us posted on your progress

Welcome from MI. Looks like a good car to start on. Sorry don't know about the quarters but there will be people on here that can help you out.

Welcome cool car, I have heard good things about year one but AMD is probably cheaper and just as good

the only good ones are AMD. everything else is junk - I have used allot of other brands and they are off or not crisp on body lines etc.

year one is simply a middleman, they get their panels from someone, AMD or who ,I do not know. plenty better vendors out there than good ole year one , shop around...... IMO and welcome!

why would replace a whole 1/4 if its only the bottom section. use a bottom patch panel a lot easier unless the rest is rusted out

Welcome to FBBO from SoCAl. I believe Year One is a reseller for AMD. You can buy AMD from a variety of sources - but AMD is probably the best repopped metal you're going to find. I've used for several projects and was pleased with the fitment and as noted - aside from original parts - about the best metal out there.

Hi Brandon!
Welcome aboard and thanks for joining the forum.
As fellow forum member GetX'd states, Year One is a supplier
I have had great luck with Auto Metal Direct (AMD) products

We are in the middle of a '70 resto at the shop I work at. Using AMD sheetmetal. The R qtr panel has been on back order since February. Last I talked to AMD they told me possibly the end of June.

I'm restoring a 68 charger right now, replacing a whole quarter is a huge undertaking, you will be remaking all your body lines, I would cut out the rust and see where your at, a lower patch would be ideal. Amd panels are the best but they do vary alot, If you replace the whole quarter, i would go to mopar nationals or carlise talk to a amd vendor look at the panel your buying, check body lines and take measurements between lines, my rear quarters were pretty good but I bought a front fender that had more body work in it than the old one's would have required, waited a month for the first one it was damaged then waited three months for the second one, it was damaged also but didnt want to wait any longer.Ended up reworking center line that was stamped wrong with a body hammer and a hand full of rage gold good luck!!
