Post your 11 second combos

May I ask what altitude you were at?

So air was good this weekend! Not so much this coming weekend! I bet you'd lose at least a tenth with 90's....

Very similar to my combo save for your compression is a point higher and it weighs a little more. I run 3.55 gears (soon to be 3.54).

Good job!

Thanks been a task getting there and staying there.

Tell me about it! I would love to see a 10.99 by years end but breakage last weekend and brutal heat have me sidelined. :(

What are your cam specs?

I had the oppertunity to run last week but the heat was more than I wanted to deal with so I stayed home. No regrets.

Yesterday here in NE Ohio it was 94. They raced but the track was like grease. 145 deg

Track conditions really make the difference when your trying to get better times. They ran division7 the last three days here in Sonoma. I tried to go but the 92 temps kept me on 1320go. I can remember back and some nights were so cold we were all in our cars to stay warm. Mind you it wasn't July but, I have not seen any of that in a few years in November.

Nice 68, my favorite year

67 Belvedere Wagon 3940 lbs(heavy pig, added a roll bar over the winter and 200lbs boy did that slow me down)
512
400 block, 440 Source 4.25 crank and I beam rods
Diamond flat tops, Eddy Performer Heads(84cc)
Comp ratio 11.6
M1 intake, 2" adapter and 1050 3 circuit Dominator
Comp Cams XS282S mechanical
I 244, E 252 @ .050
I .555, E .577(this is w/Harland Sharp 1.6 rockers)
19" mech fan, stock water pump,
TTI stepped headers and 3" exhaust that dumps by the rear wheels.
727, Griner RVB, PTC 4500 convertor, 4.10 gears, Caltrac springs and shocks.
Still tuning the Dominator, ran 11.28 at 117.37 and a 1.55 60' at Quaker City on 7/15/16. DA was 3098.91 w/7mph head wind. I shift at 5600 and cross the line at 6100. The carb is new and this was the 1st outing. Its lean in the top end. I started at 91 sq for jets. I didnt have 4 of ea jet that night so used what I had available. I bumped them up to 92/95 and picked up 1.5mph and .06. I have a better jet selection now as well as air bleeds and will keep playing. I think I have another 2-3mph I can get out of it w/more tuning. Right now timing is a conservative 34 total.

DOMINATORS RULE....

DOMINATORS RULE....
Yes the do Mike. I still have a lot of tuning needed. My et vs mph is about 50hp difference. The calculators have me around 550hp(flywheel) for et but only 499-501 based on mph for my weight. If this rain will ever stop I may be able to get back out and play with the air bleeds and jets some more.

My Dominator install experience...as I have shared before:
1) A couple months ago on a Friday afternoon I ran a best 10.91 with Edelbrock 4150 single plane intake and 850 Mighty Demon Carb.
2) Friday nite (at track) I took off the Demon and installed a 4500 to 4150 Transdapt open adapter and installed my brand new Out Of The Box 1050 Dominator on top of the carb adapter with NO other changes.
3) First run Saturday AM the car ran a 10.61 (3/10th improvement) and I ran 4 more passes in between 10.61 and 10.66. Remember...only change was the Dominator with the adapter.
4) And I have been only improving on that with a change from the Transdapt Open Carb Adapter to a MVH Super Sucker combination CNC/Open spacer 4500 to 4150 adapter and other very small tuning adjustments...and have gotten the 10.61 down to 10.582 (with same or very close to the same air density)
(additional note: I still have not even rejetted the Dominator from the Out Of The Box 94 Secondary jets and 84 Primary jets with the 5.5 Power Valve...I am hesitant to "plug" the power valve and install 94's in the primary also...since it runs so good the way it is...but I will do that at a "test & tune" weekend but not at a race weekend.)
DOMINATORS RULE.
