Hi all...greetings from sunny CA desert..I am owner (one-time) of a 68 Dodge Superbee...bought it off the showroom floor in May, 1968 as a college graduation gift to myself...It was in a small town (Walla Walla, WA.) and they only had two new cars in their inventory, the other was a blue Charger R/T (which I wanted, but it was $1200 more, and I couldn't afford it...sticker price on mine was $3632). I have kept the car indoors and covered most of the past 48 years...although it has some good-time miles on it...Never in an accident...all original...drive train is intact and never removed. 383, auto, PS, Pdiscs. I drive it to Happy Hours periodically and to car-show events here in the desert(there are lots of both). I had it re-painted (with the original paint sent from chrysler) in 1992 (Gold), but clear-coated, and it has held-up beautifully, with a few minor nicks and scratches accumulated over the years.
I found you guys while searching on-line for a replacement brake booster, which just recently failed. I am now leaning on getting mine restored, in lieu of buying a knock-off chinese version.
I'm very new at all of this computer stuff...so please bear...looking forward to the interaction!

Hi Dee Tee,
Welcome aboard and thanks for joining the forum
Great car!
(I'm partial to Superbee's)
I'm from the High Desert, Edwards AFB
Again, welcome aboard

welcome to FBBO that super bee looks great congrats for keeping all that time

Thankyou, Mitch and Ski...Drove past Edwards many times on my way to Mammoth. And Mitch, how could one not like living in a town called Friendship! the 60 Vette, in my opinion, was the best design of the classics. And Ski, The Rally-dash was one of the best designs Chrysler ever came-up with...I'd like to meet the guy who came-up with that one.

Welcome and that is one sexy Bee you have!

Nice car, and welcome!
Thanks,...looks like you enjoy going fast. The GTX moniker was Chrysler Corp's best...and a good answer to GM's GTO ...these two, in my humble (and slow) opinion) are still the best two in modern automotive history.

Welcome and that is one sexy Bee you have!
Thank you. When I purchased it, I wasn't crazy in love with the color...but after time (and a lot of wine)...I love it..The clearcoat over the original paint made a huge difference in the appearance, and it goes good in the desert background colors, Hah!

Welcome from NJ. It's great that you have an original car and know its history. We all wonder about that with our own cars.

Welcome aboard from Ohio from another guy with a one-owner '68 Bee. Not quite as nice as yours,no power anything on mine& has a stock 440 in it now.

DeeTee- just remembered there is a Superbee registry on the web.jeff
