Hi B-Body community!

I am Kevin from Austria (Europe). I am glad that I found this forum!

Like the majority my first dream car was a Charger (68-70). This started around 10 years ago and after the years I found other models interesting and beautiful too but of course only Mopar and mainly the B-Bodies.

So, 10 years later I worked and saved all of my money. I packed my dad and we drove a day to look at a B-Body.
I bought it and yesterday was the day, the shipping company called me and it arrived early afternoon at my home on a truck. Battery was dead, we managed to fired it up then and I drove it home into the garage. I had barely brake power (don't know why yet), pushed the pedal almost to the firewall and this resulted in a much higher level of excitement that I already had while driving ;)

However, I am very proud to say that I own my first car, a 1968 Dodge Coronet. Finally a dream came true for me!

As I have quite a few things to fix, parts to buy and partly want to restore there will be for sure upcoming questions. I would highly appreciate someone who could support me with tips of where to find certain parts and so on.. Also I am not familiar with some special technical terms in English as they often cannot be translated easily from German to English with the same meaning. I try to do my best though.

I say Danke im voraus and write you soon :)

Hi Kevin, welcome. If you have any problems writing english, I recommend the german mopar-forum.de - a lot of knowledge and we speak german. ;-)

@Super Rob thanks! I am already registered in the german mopar-forum :) did not introduce myself so far but I will!

Willkommen an Bord von New Jersey! Gut aussehende Auto. Ich hoffe, dass ich dies korrekt übersetzt!:D

Welcome aboard from New Jersey! Nice looking car. I hope I translated this correctly!:D

Here's another NJ USA welcome for you Kevin! Nice choice of cars!

Welcome to the Madness !!
Last year I was back in Wien for the first time in 50yrs.. The Mopar brothers there took my Wife and I on their cruise around the Wien Ringstrasse .

Welcome. Good looking color and I like the steel wheels with hubcaps.

Welcome from Michigan, beautiful car!

Welcome to FBBO from NorCal

That car's color is great. Steel wheels and dog dish hub caps are the best look.
You should be very happy with that car.
I do understand why a 68-70 Charger would be most people's "dream car".
I confess that I have a "soft spot" for the 68 and 69 Coronets because a 69 was my first Dodge.
I think second generation Chargers are in danger of becoming "klischee".
(I looked the up German translation)
That is why I chose a Road Runner, when I decided to get my one and only B body.
You probably know a 69 Road Runner was Motor Trends Car Of The Year.
I could have bought just about any Charger I wanted.
What I'm saying is maybe that's why this commercial was made with a Coronet.
A Charger would have been too obvious.
Have you seen it?
Best regards from Georgia USA.
