Its that time of the year here in New york I have a question about storage for vehicles. Ive been using fuel stabilizer when storing my roadrunner every winter with non ethanol gas. My question is is it really necessary to use fuel stabilizer when using non ethanol gas?

Even regular fuel without ethanol has a shelf life.....Albeit it lasts a lot longer than ethanol fuel, I would think fuel stabilizer wouldn't hurt. I use it in all my fuel that's non ethanol. I'd rather throw it in for the few bucks it costs than have issues. I feel your pain. I'm in Buffalo NY so I do the same. :(

Use it.
I remember an old 2 wheel buzz saw that my dad had, it would set all winter and start on the first pull (wound rope type) every year w/o anything done to it, after setting w/ gas in. Gas back then was some good stuff !

Same here man! All my stuff fires right up come spring. Cheap insurance!

I agree with using it as cheap insurance against your gas going bad. But frankly don’t think it’s necessary with non-ethanol fuel. For what it costs do it anyway.

Comes down to how long your storing something I think. If you are talking a month or two I think you are absolutely correct! Waste of time. Out here in the east, our **** gets stored for 6 months or more at time. I have seen gas get skanky after 4 or 5 months and actually start staining the float bowls and components in my new Holley. talk about being pissed seeing that in a brand new carb! Wish the gov't didn't keep trying to make gas into water :(

It's not really required with high test gas. My snow blower sat 8 months and I just started it last week - no stabilizer. Paranoia sells more than just guns.

Maybe Google did. That's who I asked. Thought it was funny a list like that was so readily available.
