I stumbled across a 73 Plymouth Roadrunner 318 4-speed all original matching numbers Survivor car in pristine condition. This car is completely rust-free like new all documentation when it was bought new. Blue on Blue. I have found some production numbers and seems to be there were very few 318 for Speed cars built. However I'm trying to find out some information about Canadian exports. This car was built and Canada and I'm trying to figure out if it means anything or not. Does anyone know how many 73 roadrunners were built in Canada? And does a Canadian built export car mean anything? Does it add to the value of the car in? Also is there any differences between the u.s. made roadrunners and Canadian made roadrunners?

I have found some production numbers and seems to be there were very few 318 for Speed cars built. White book shows about 350 of that combination shipped for sale in the US.

However I'm trying to find out some information about Canadian exports. This car was built and Canada and I'm trying to figure out if it means anything or not. 1973 Road Runners were built at Windsor plant (R in the VIN) as a matter of routine production so that's no big deal.

Does anyone know how many 73 roadrunners were built in Canada? It's unlikely you'll find a plant by plant breakdown. And, quite frankly, those facts are interesting but, mostly, irrelevant.

And does a Canadian built export car mean anything? Does it add to the value of the car in? No and no. It simply means that particular car was built in Canada and not the US.

Also is there any differences between the u.s. made roadrunners and Canadian made roadrunners? No.

Welcome. It sounds as if you've run across a low number built, and not the most desirable, Road Runner.

Sadly it's not worth much it's a r.r. only it's mother would love ! But still cool and sound s like a fun driver ! I don't think Canada and rust free ever go together you might want to double check things before you buy !
As for value sounds like you want to make money! Don't buy anything car related unless it's a hemi or a yanko or a cobra jet.... Stuff like that those make money if your able to sit and wait .
As for this rr, without seeing it and if it's as nice as you say I'd say it's a $14000 car . Remember resale no one wants a 318 !

Welcome aboard from NJ. Depending on price, it could be a steal. Dropping a bigger motor in or modifying the 318 is childs play compared with body work, painting and trying to locate very hard to find restoration parts! Besides, there are lots of RR clones out there like mine. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder! If fuel prices sky rocket, that 318 is going to be a lot more desirable. Remember also, no converter on 73's that I know of, just low compression. Hell, if the body is excellent, I'd buy it with a slant six in it! A nice cruiser is a nice cruiser! Can you post any pictures? We love car ****! A factory 318 4 speed RR is a "rare bird" (pun intended)! More smiles to the gallon. NEVER BUY A CAR AS AN INVESTMENT! If it trips YOUR trigger, go for it!

Yes, very rare with a 4spd, but as mentioned above, not the most desirable. If you like it & don't plan to sell it & it's as nice as you say go ahead and buy it. You could always drop in a 360 stroker & keep the original engine.

Ive been around mopars all my life. My father has several cars. For a surviver this car is super nice. Has all kind of documentation with it. It has lived in the same town all its life. 2 owner and has always been kept inside. The pics dont do it any justice. I know its a 318 car but for what it is its just such a nice factory survivor. Does the canadian export mean anything? Would it add to the value?

Its just as clean underneath as it is on top. There are 2 small door dings and thats it.

As stated in post 2, no and no as the Windsor plant routinely built 73 RRs. Where a car was built really means nothing. There were built where they were built.

That's a nice looking car, and if the price is right, I would buy it, regardless of the 318 car its a real nice example.

The pic really don't do it any justice. I'm trying to buy it. If you'll come down on the price just a little bit I'll probably pull the trigger. I think he's asking a tidbit too much for it for 318 car

If it was a 340 car I would give him what he's asking but...

Are you sure about the 4 speeds transmission? Should have a Pistol grip shifter. Look like a 3 speeds shifter....

It is a real four speed car. The first owner did change the shifter but this guy has the original shifter to go back in it

It has the heavy-duty suspension under it. 8 3/4 suregrip rear diff and also has the dual mirrors

Thanks for posting the pictures Brad. It's beautiful! Let me know if you are unsuccessful. I would sell an internal organ to help buy that! Since it is less desirable than those with a larger engine, I would think it would be less prone to being stolen, LOL. I'd be happy as a pig in **** to own that car. :D
