67 R/T on Bitchin’ Rides

I saw part 1 and so far it looks like a pro-touring style build with a Hellcrate, some massive tires and 24+" rims on the back. They cut out the floor completely for a full chassis and the show ended with them doing a "fairly minor" adjustment to lean the windshield back and flatten out the roof line to bring it parallel with the body line.

Kindig said towards the beginning of the show it will be a little 'Hot Wheels' so sounds like one of his less traditional builds and something a bit more stylized.

One of the pics shows his tape lines for the roof chop.

Where did you see part 1? It seems they skipped this week due to the auction and the commercials say it’s the two part season end starting next Tuesday. Want to make sure I didn’t miss anything.

I gave up on cable a while ago and watch it on motortrendondemand.com

they have great young & talented, mech.'s, fabricators & painters too

I had a chance to see a few of their cars at the Back to the 50's show in Minnesota last year. They had that white Nomad they built, the Copper Caddy, and the black 68/69 Camaro (whatever it was) with the red interior. I looked them over well and couldn't find a single issue with them. They were beautiful. The interiors looked perfect without a stitch out of place.

The ones I saw were fantastic,... showing the level of their work. Didn't get a chance to meet them, but was very impressed with their cars.

A pic of the chop from episode 2. Haven't finished watching it yet to see the final product, but the fabrication going into it is pretty spectacular.

THIS is the sort of stuff that REALLY interests me. I would have been happy to have had a career in Automotive design. Dream job.

Spoilers inside!

I just finished the episode and I'm sure there will be a lot of hate for the car, but you can't argue that they put a ton of time into it, and the owner seemed beyond thrilled, so mission accomplished.

My only complaint is the front valance looks chunky and out of place. It looks like they split the front bumper horizontally and everything below that line just looks odd and unfinished to me. Looks pretty great from the side, though.

Eh....not their best work. They should leave mopars alone. That black `cuda wasn't great, either. I really like most of their stuff.

Holy cow! Metal work is fascinating to watch. To remake those quarter extensions just to lose the gap/line is crazy.

I will say that loosing the headlights like a Charger is great looking. I know Dodge had to make the models different back then but how cool are hide-a-ways?!? Should have been that way from factory.

I’m enjoying the show.

I will say it’s odd they used an R/T for this. Not one aspect was saved from the R/T trim. They could have used any Coronet model.

Looks like they should of just went AMD and started from scratch.:p:p

They used the hide-a-ways on the Coronets in Mexico.

Impressive metalwork, but I hate the front valance and the wheels are ridiculous (imho). But then I struggle to like even 17 inchers on these cars.

Saw parts of the show last night. What a shame to cut up such a solid car. Awesome metalwork, but I wish they would have butchered up a Ford or Chevy instead.

While I agree with everyone on here that has an issue with chopping up the cars...., we always say that "It's their car,... Do what you want to do with it". Personally, I am always glad to see the Mopars get some attention. I agree that I don't care for the front valance. I'm also not a fan of the big wheels they (meaning all of these shows, not just them) always put on cars lately. I was glad to see they were trying to go with a Magnum 500 inspiration on the wheels,... just not sure I'm a fan of how they look. I do like the open grill with the hideaway headlights.

Bottom line is that if the owner wanted a Mopar custom, that's what they gave them. If the owner was happy with it, then I guess "It's his car". It doesn't take away from the craftsmanship those guys have. The work done was spot on,... just not all of our cup of tea!

I couldn't even watch the preview where they started cutting the A pillar.

What they do is not my cup of tea, but I can respect the craftsmanship.

Still.....Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
