Picked up this '67 R/T last fall. Now that it is cooling down in TX I am going to start working on the fuel lines. Currently the car has 5/16 rubber line, ACdelco mechanical pump, and is feeding Edelbrock carb. I want to change to steel line pump to carb. Is 5/16 the way to go? I am having trouble understanding how to run the 5/16 line into the carb without using rubber line transition. I found Edelbrock part EDL-8090 at Summit Racing that looks to work for 3/8 steel line, but I cant find anything like that for 5/16. How are y'all running 5/16 steel to your carb?

Factory had a filter with rubber lines on each end below the alternator standing straight up.

I agree, look at Inline Tube, they have most lines needed in steel and stainless. It's also pre-bent to factory routing and fits perfect. I too live in Texas and would recommend adding a fuel return line to avoid vapor lock during these intense summers. I modified my sender and added a rubber line. Do you need a fuel pressure regulator for your carb.

Thank you all for your responses so far! I should have been more specific. I am specifically looking for help understand what fitting(s) to use to connect the 5/16 steel line to the 5/8-20 Edelbrock carb intake.

Great thinking Huicho!
