Kenny Rogers has passed away

My wife just told me that....sad...RIP to a legend of a bygone era.

One of my favourite bands...featured on the Kenny Rogers Show many moons ago...(most of the people in this video are long gone now...RIP to all)

R.I.P.

I always liked "What Condition My Condition Is In" when he first got started.

Keeeeeeeennyyyyyyyyyy.......

What a career!

Never was a big country fan, however Kenny Rogers songs were easy on the ears. And you could sing along with them. Shame to lose guys like this.

Hate to hear and very sad!! To me it's about a change, that won't change back... RIP

One of the greats. RIP

Dug this out. He signed this for me when I worked the stagecoach festival years ago. SUPER nice guy!

Actually the band started as The First Edition. Later they added his name.
He was also a member of The New Christy Minstrels.

A local radio personality told a story about Rogers.
He went to visit Rogers on business. Before the meeting he went to one of Rogers' chicken restaurants. Kenny had a policy of, it you aren't satisfied, he would refund your money.
Well, he went to Rogers' office and figured he would play a joke. After all the greetings, etc Rogers asked what he could do. The radio guy said he ate at one of Rogers' restaurants and before he could finish Rogers jumped up, grabbed his wallet and asked how much he had spent!
Now the joke backfired and there was a fast meal of crow.
Upon explaining he said Rogers couldn't have been a nicer guy and they had a great chat.

The appropriate title should be Kenny Rogers has folded them.

Rest In Eternal Peace Kenny! You will be missed but your music will live forever! I was lucky enough to meet him a couple of times in person! Once back stage at one of his concerts! The most memorable time was at a local karoki bar I used to sing at regularly! He was visiting some friends in the area, They asked me to join them after I had done a song of his (Lady). I was introduced to him and couldn't believe it! In little bar like that and meeting him! Long story short! He paid me a compliment on doing his song! Made me feel pretty special that night!

My wife was DJ and met him back stage in the 90's. She said he was one of the most pleasant artists she had ever met.

Rest In Peace Mr. Roger's. :(. You will be missed. I know of Mr. Kenny because I like Country music but I never heard any of his songs.
