Hello..anyone know if the 1968 B body front benches had seat belt retainers installed at the factory? My RR has them on the rear seat, but not front. Thanks.

The same configuration as for the back seat. We reproduce them for the various vendors in either black or white, so if your looking for a specific color, you will need to find good used or dye.

My 68 Charger had them front and back but my car has front buckets. Was your front seat recovered? I'm thinking you should be able to feel the holes on the frame if they were ever on there. I there are no holes, then I would say they were omitted.

Thanks guys. Research has led me to believe there were front retainers on B bodies, I'm going to assume my car had them originally, just didn't get installed up front during the resto.

Not all cars got the storage clips especially the 68s. Remember, the Road Runners were designed as bare bones cars. I would say even in 68 theGTX would of been a more common candidate for the clips. We’ve found on the later B bodies the clips were more common.

As a note we now carry the 1970 specific deluxe seatbelt storage clips.

My frt bench has the clips, kinda surprised none have cracked yet.

I wasn't sure what storage clips were. Now I know but, I've never seen them before!

Since the back seat has them, I'll probably put them on the front as well. My car was assembled in mid November 67 and was pretty well optioned for a hemi car, PS, PDB, remote side view, aux lighting, all tint, tach. Dont think it will hurt.

Go for it

So On my early production (September 28, 68) 1968 Coronet R/T Convertible I have two questions. My car hasn't moved since roughly 1979 so my seats I am pretty sure are original. I do not have the seat belt retainers on front buckets or back seat and cannot find holes. Also I do not believe I have the third seat belt in the rear. At least I cannot find it. So is it possible my 68 did not have the retainers? did the convertibles only have two rear seat belts? Thanks!

check your date, early production would be September 67

Didn’t start putting the third belt in the back seat as a standard option until 69 models.
