Just want to give everyone heads up. To make this short. Paid for some headers used paypal have not received them & have not heard from seller for some time. I have been told I am not the only one. DO NOT PAY THROUGH FRIENDS on paypal they cant help you then. The guy goes by the name SHAWN HADLEY The email he gave me [email protected] Also a name KAREN SCHULTZ comes up Do not make my mistake

Sorry to hear and thanks for info!
Most likely even using PayPal through a business transaction, they won’t pay you back either! It’s a great advertised buyer protection program. When it comes right down to it, we’ll get nothing back. So beware even with PayPal!

He has been posted about and warned about for months now!

Where was this guy advertising his wares?

I've never had an issue with Paypal not refunding a business or private purchase that the seller failed to complete...to the extent that I always try to purchase via PayPal if I can as its it's certainly a lot faster to get a refund though PayPal than any credit card company. If you buy though a business and yet the seller wants a "friend and family" payment to avoid paying PayPal for the service hes is using...then that would be a red flag to the companies legitimacy straight away. Obviously I dont know if the seller in this case was a business or a private seller. Either way ONLY ever use a friend and family payment to people you actually know or you have no protection....

Funny he already changed his name in the past two weeks

Thx for the tip!!

As usual, I always request that items I sell be paid by goods and services, but lately I have been insisting. Mostly because I fell that I need to keep others in the habit, even if they are friends. It offers protection to the buyer should something happen to the package as well as monetary protection.

99.9% pay me as Friends/Family and a lot of times I have to go back and ask for thier address's so I can ship since it does not come through with payment. Scammers will be out more and more as there are no Flea markets will be using the internet. I reported a guy a few weeks ago and the Mods took care of him. Deal with well known people and deal cautiously with new members... Just because they are new they may just be good guys that don't have a venue to sell thier parts...

Is your PayPal linked to a credit card or your bank?
Mine is linked through a credit card so that if PP isnt able to resolve my issue I can file a claim with my CC..

I had posted on several sites that I was looking for headers & he said that he seen the one on MOPAR FORUMS & emailed me. My paypal is linked to my credit union.

I would definitely add a CC for the extra layer of protection and call your CU and see if they can do anything.

Paid the same person through Paypal for a steering wheel. Didn't receive item. Just this week Paypal refunded my money.

I was given the KAREN SCHULTZ name to mail my payment to a few weeks back. The little voice in my head said something didn't add up so I stopped short of being totally scammed. The name of the person allegedly selling some body cart wheels I was looking for used the name WILLIAM TAMMY. He called me 'bloke' one too many times and said that he couldn't do PayPal and that's when my alarms went off......

Thanks for the heads up

clever cleaver, offender already changed named & still at it
on many sites it seems

make sure to report it to the mods or Joey
when ever you get a notion it's a scam,

Not an active member here, I don't buy from them.

Did this/these scammers show you pictures of what they had to sell you? If so I guess we have to start demanding a current dated newspaper in the pictures.

In my case no. I pulled the plug before things progressed to that point.

Yes, we need proof of life, or no ransom money. Lol
