Thank you so much that is very kind of you. I believe if Summit had it there they would sent it to me.
They have it ,you want it,they bullshit you,you buy it,n than the fun starts, they dont have a clue or care if it will fit or work.paint it silver or put some semi gloss rad paint on a recore, put a few drops of clear in rad paint n give it a couple lite coats doneStock.. stock... stock! Not sure why it's so hard for these aftermarket guys to make **** fit...
My set up too, but I used a jag clutch and it fit just fine. When I went through all this with mine (thread is on here somewhere), lots of measuring and
such - but a consultation with Professor Ehrenberg nailed the combo for me.
Griffin "exact fit" aluminum radiator (3" thick!) that accepts a factory shroud was installed.
There wasn't enough room for the "shorty" Hayden fan clutch, so on the advice of @coloradodave,
I fetched a 17" 7 blade fan from Summit and used a 3/4" spacer to get the fan half in/half out of
the shroud.
Wow, how close is that clutch to the radiator? My set up too, but I used a jag clutch and it fit just fine.

I would not feel comfortable with it that close,is your fan a 1/3 out of shroud?I have about 5/8-3/4 of an inchView attachment 1010478

Of course you don't have this problem, your radiator flows in the opposite direction than US does! Duh!I wonder if a lot of these overheating issues are due to blocked coolant passages or dodgy water pumps / thermostats. The reason I say that is I have a 22" radiator (re-cored), a fixed 4 blade factory fan, no shroud, and live in a climate very similar to Florida, and never have an issue. Admittedly my car is only a 318 (worked) but gets driven hard and the temperature doesn't budge from 180, ever, even in 110° heat. The whole system is as per factory, but all in as-new condition, after a full rebuild.
