Approx what is the weight of the heating system under the dash ?

And does the dash need to come out out to remove it ? I am debating if I want to pull it out since I don't have actually have it hooked up .

It's from a 68 charger if that makes a diff.

Leave it in and hook it up. On a cool night or if you ever get caught in rain coming back from a show or somewhere, you'll be thankful for the fan and a bit of heat. Otherwise your windshield will mist up so bad you'll be parked. Same goes for wipers! Honestly, the 15 pounds or so is nothing.

I like driving my stuff late into the fall and evenings. It's nice to have a heater-defroster to take the chill off and keep the windshield clear.

I driver my cars year around. They have well working heaters with new cores. I love driving them in the winter. The motors love nice cold air.

I agree!
I drive my 66 A body all year in Minnesota. It definitely runs best when the weather is in the teens.
