So the front rails and front floor pan are roached on my 69 charger. After viewing a few threads I am planning on exchanging the whole front clip. Seems to be the easiest route. I have found a 65 four door coronet parts car that is in good shape. From my research this seem that this front clip would be a good donor. I am hoping someone can confirm or deny this. My biggest question is could I use the floor pan from this car in mine? Thanks for the input.

I sure someone will chime in who knows for sure, but I don't think a 65 front sheet metal would be the same...maybe the frame rails? I think you need a 66-68 B-body for a proper swap. And like the front end sheet metal I don't think the floor pans are the same...again 66-68.

But I look forward to being wrong...:D

You can use NONE of the sheet metal from a 65 on your charger. It’s a different car. Just look at a underhood photo at the Col and inner fenders.

My floor pan for my 67 Coronet stated it also fit 68-70 Charger if I remember correctly.
I forget what I read about the K member differences were, on a 65 compared to a 67 , I think it was how far forward the engine and trans sat.

66-70 b body will work on the front clip frame rails, inner fender, firewall, floor boards, upper and lower cowl, inner and outer hinge pullers, rear floor pans, inner wheel tubs, rear frame rails with some minor detail changes between the 66-67 as compared to the 69-70. The rear spring hangers are different between the dodge and Plymouth.

Two door and four door are the same underneath

65 will not work. A complete different animal

I thought it was 67-70 but I could be wrong.

I have a 70 front clip but shipping would be a killer. I also have some front frames and firewall/cowls separate.
