Nice! Got my first dose Thursday.

Congrats. Let us know when you get the second shot.

My Dad is 83 and a veteran, Mom will be 80 in March.
Can't even make an appointment to get a shot around here.
Mom is pretty frustrated with the roll out.

We’re lucky in a way here in that we are so isolated. The government prioritized us to get the shot because if covid gets into some of our isolated communities it can wipe them out. It was easy to get the shot here, they organized us in groups of ten and ran us through assembly line style. They had a special squad to administer the vaccine that flew into each community. Easy Peasy.

My Wife and I got our first Moderna shot last Wednesday.
Have to wait four weeks for the second one.
YeeHaa!

Congrats, way to go...
We encounter some contract and subsequent supply difficulties over here; my turn might be in May or June...
Cant wait to travel again, to attend shows and so on.
Be safe everybody !

Which brand Steve? Your arm will probably be sore, I got my 2nd shot this past Wednesday and it had some side effects about 15 hrs after the vaccination! No issues with the first tho
Mine was Moderna

Not what I was expecting Steve, I thought maybe you had wandered into Jersey somewhere bad .

My son is a firefighter with Mississauga FD. He got his second shot of Phyzer vaccine on Friday. I talked to him last night and he said he just felt kind of tired yesterday.

I won't get it for a few years if it is still an issue.
Don't want to get cancer in 5 years or some other unknown long term side affect for the vaccine that was rushed out in 6 months.

Hopefully this week things will open up a little more. Ive been told you need to monitor the sites often. I finally was able to log on and register last night and saw I was able to make a appointment. I live in Staten Island and there were only 5 sites in the entire city of New York with openings, four were in the Bronx and one was in Jamaica Queens at a high school. The problem is parking, its a real headache and often your not in the greatest of neighborhoods.
I wound up parking near my sons apartment and taking a Uber back and forth from the high school
A real PIA but I wanted that vaccine because of my wife's condition
She got hers last week through the hospital that treats her. That hospital is in Manhattan and I was able to park in their garage
I do hope you can get mom and dad vaccinated soon. Best of luck

Well - geez...now you tell me? I got my 1st dose this morning.

Currently, Georgia has a 3 phase plan. Phase 1 started around Jan 8th and they are slow and late (this is Georgia:rolleyes:).
