A11 GTX 1969 in Denver not mine

@David Mueller

First of all, my God put his healing hands on you and get you through your illness.

Second, I am just curious about the A11 code. Please elaborate.

Third, I am very partial to 69 GTX’s and like to see any and all of them. Here is mine in it’s current state of repair.

I Was Tring To Finish when computer took a turn The illness is terminal The a11 only means 69 special model like GTX not Belvidere or satellite i do believe I have done a ton of research on this car and it is what it is If you have any questions call me

Nice car David and thanks for replying on this thread. On the rear your car is coded with the A34 option. That is 4.10 Dana 60 Super Trac Pac. Chrysler never made a 4.10 8.75 rear from the factory. When you ordered a 440 4-spd it automatically came with a Dana. 8.75 4.10 gears are aftermarket.

The GTX is a special car and gets special standard equipment. Like the torqueflite automatic, Hemi suspension with front anti-sway bar and heavy-duty shock absorbers. Heavy Duty Brakes, wide wheel rims, wide-boot red streak tires and 150 mph speedometer among other things. Now the GTX and the Road Runner buyer can get a new Super Track Pack Option, with a 440 or Hemi. It includes a heavy-duty 4 speed manual transmission, Hurst shift linkage, 4.10 ratio, sure-grip rear axle, high-performance cooling system, dual breakers, Hemi suspension and power disc brakes.

This article came from Mopar Not all Trac pac cars had Dana's Standard was 410 per article and they came with sure grip rears the dana was a another opt.

There is no A11 on the tag. It is a St. Louis built car and would have that on the tag. A11 is a Charger thing.
Also I bet you anything that if you pull the gears you will not find a Chrysler part number or a Penastar on the ring gear. Will probably say Richmond. 3.91 gear is the lowest gear from the factory in a 8.75
I very aware what comes with a 440 car as I've owned several over the years including 3 1969 GTX's

I ALWAYS THOUGHT THIS GROUP WAS ABOUT HELPING ONE ANOTHER WITH OUR CARS AND PRODJECTS BUT I GUESS I WAS MISTAKEN THIS MORE ABOUT BASHING SOMEONE ELSES CAR,AND THEN NOT DOING YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE YOU OPEN YOUR MOUTH

What is the date code on the axle housing?

I'm not bashing you at all so please don't take it that way. Just a simple disagreement and a debate is all. I've done a lot of research since I bought my first 440 car in 1976. Since I've owned over 200 Mopars so I'm not new to the game.

David, don't take this the wrong way, no one is bashing you, they are trying to help you....

As was pointed out your car is coded for A34

And here is a explanation of A34 from a 1969 Plymouth dealer salesman pocket guide...

You were right. 'They' were wrong. The only way to get a four speed behind a 440 or Hemi was in a package (A33 or A34. See package items above) that included the Dana. The Dana was not and could not be a separate optional item.

If the 3.91 gears in an 8.75 only 'slightly exceeds our durability standards', there is no way the 4:10 gears would have. https://www.hamtramck-historical.com/dealerships/_1969AdvanceInfo-01.shtml?load_img=4

Take a look at that trunk finish panel.... Its perfect. The front grill and headlight surrounds, taillight bezels all great....If they are original your looking at some good money right there

David, I dont care if the car came with the dana or 8 3/4.....Its a nice example of a original car, rust free and worth every penny of what your asking.
Under the circumstances im sorry you have to part with it.
More importantly you are in my thoughts

at mid 40s . Owner is not far off.
And from someone who was in the market for the past year ( I bought a car last Sept ) This car will need to find the right buyer ,,,MAYBE . Maybe not

BUT,

Rust free body and matching numbers car in good colors are getting dang high and tough to find.

Ps,

at some of the prices thrown out here of upper 20s or low 30s. I'll take it and so will a 100 other people out there .
