RPM Act. Save our Cars!

I feel about classic cars like rifles. I lost all my rifles in a tragic boating accident. Lost my cars as well off a car ferry.

Here in Rhode Island they are trying to pass a new green deal bill that calls for net zero carbon emissions state wide by 2050. The bill says that to achieve 80 % by 2040,no internal combustion powered vehicles can be registered or operated in the state,all homes must be retrofitted to electric heat,meaning no oil,natural gas,or propane gas will be permitted,they also included that people will have to shift to a non meat based diet. In summary,they will tell you what kind of vehicle you can drive,how you must heat your home,and what you can eat! Welcome to the United Socialist States of America! This commission is made up of appointed officials not elected officials,who will have total authority to create,implement,execute,and enforce the laws and regulations that the commission deems necessary to achieve the new green deal standards! I know we are not supposed to discuss politics in this forum,but I felt that it is important and relevant that people understand that they are already trying to implement the new green deal which calls for the demise of our cars by 2040,which is 18 years and 8 months from now. Once they are given carblaunch power,they will start to try to eliminate our classic cars as soon possible,we are the low hanging fruit! This is happening right now,and once passed,it will surely cause other states to follow suit. This commission was the brainchild of outgoing Governor Gina Raimondo,who the faux President just appointed to Commerece Secretary of the United States! The former Governor oversaw the 49th best commerce rated state in the country out of the 50 states! Second from the bottom qualifies her to run the commerece department for the whole nation! Be on the lookout for similar legislation in your states! As I stated,I know this is not the political forum,and if the moderators want to move or delete this post that is fine with me,but this is already happening here,and people need to be informed,they are legislating our cars out of existance already,within 10 years or less,they will no longer be allowed to be registered or operated here! The Rhode Island Senate already passed this bill number H5445,and the House of Representitives was expected to pass it yesterday during a 4pm voting session. The LT Governor a Democrat,now Governor,since Raimondo's departure says he will most likely sign the bill into law!

Just read that bill as it is posted online and do not see the text about meat and internal combustion. Can you post a link to the bill to show that it has those specifics? I might have the wrong one. No doubt lawyers can do a lot with it given the language I read, but that is both ways and was net zero, not zero. Sometimes what we read is someone's interpretation of a bill rather than what it says.

The bill you read was just a summary the actual bill is several hundred pages. They have been discussing it on the radio,and it states that they will have full authority to implement everything I stated above. Check out Tara Granahan's podcast on WPRO radio,Providence Rhode Island.
 
The bill was passed yesterday and Rhode Island will be the first state in the country to adopt the new green deal standards! The writing is on the wall for us ! All those who said that we wouldn't see this in our lifetime or it wouldn't affect our classic cars were wrong! In three months time the legislation has been approved for the demise of fossil fuel powered vehicles! I hope those who voted these people in are happy!
 
Thanks. My guess is that things will happen because society changes, but that a lot of the specifics will end up being unenforceable, with exceptions, or modified by lawyers as we move through the next 20 years. But what is written in the bill is a record.

For now, one way we can make a difference is to let our voices be heard and piss as few people off as possible in doing so.
 
Wishful thinking we are done! stolen elections have consequences! The lack of responses tells me people don't get what's really going on! This is happening and it's happening now! Three months in and they are passing the new green deal at the state level! Once the blue states all pass this the federal government will mandate that the red states comply! I'm screaming the British are coming,and it's falling on deaf ears! I'm Paul Revere,in a 70 Dodge Charger R/T! Do you understand the magnatude of what I am Saying?????

Hey Chargervert, I feel exactly the same way about how things are changing. People are just not understanding what happened in this election cycle. Democracy was ended and very few have noticed.

No. Everybody can SEE what happened, it's just that no one is willing to do what is required to resolve it.
 
Massachusetts also just signed into law their new green deal bill which legislates our classic cars out of existence! The Rhode Island bill is awaiting the governors signature,we are done here in New England! Welcome to the United Communist States of America,where they tell you what car you must drive,how you will heat your home,and what you will eat!
