A thought experiment....

Or that man doesn't????

This is an error in reasoning. What we have are data and hypotheses and ways of connecting data and hypotheses. Proof is not part of the process except in mathematics.

Right now we have observations (data) and a framework for interpreting the data that is based upon basic physics and chemistry and we use that to test our hypotheses that climate is changing or that man has an influence. And we then make a judgement (sometimes with statistics) that either supports or does not support our hypothesis. Then we work from there. What is so beautiful about the process is that older predictions can be tested with more recent data. That is what I showed with the earlier plot.

That sort of observation would tend to support the assertion that the things that went into the model were generally valid. If there was another way to do it, then one would need to figure that out.

I am with the general scientific consensus.

Some are with the "F*&^ it club those people who make models are full of SH*&^ I don't believe them. "

I know I'm not going to convince them because there is no process of thought that can be adjusted and revised. Me, I'll be swayed if I see evidence that I think is stronger against the case than for it. I also will continue to listen to the scientists on this because I trust in their motivations. I know everyone thinks they do it for money, but if you think about it, they could be making more money in other professions with their capabilities. I think they do it because they genuinely want to know the answer and because they follow evidence and what makes the stronger case.

Have at it.

The scientists want their grant money to keep coming, no problem =no more grant money. The Al Gores of the world are selling the problem and the solution, and people are buying it. Do I believe less pollution is a good thing, sure, who doesn't, but not in the draconian approach they are taking. I also believe that all the batteries they are making could be just as bad or worse for the environment, and contrary to hypocritical belief, pluging in does not mean zero emissions lkke they are selling it to be.

If every living breathing being died tonight there would never be zero emissions. The planet will continue to get warner. The cool cycle we are presently in is not the normal for the planet.

We have about as much impact on changing the climate of Earth as holding out your hand, palm out, to stop the wind. Less even.

Theories are just that-theories. They are unproven.

If we want to say we are causing MMGW we need proof.
And if we want to take "corrective action" we need proof.

Now...any observed scientific evidence proving we are the cause-assuming it is happening.

Going to look into that r12 i have heard that, and it's probably true. Just never looked into it. Thanks for the reminder.
You can still get r12 from Mexico the cost is way high but still being made. Dupont has lost the patent on every freon it's made that's why every few years we have to change. Just like the new 1234 freon. It will run its course and die out in a few years. As for azone from freon and swimming pools think not. Like it was said one volcano does more harm then good. Also like the volcano forest fires are just as bad.

Planet of the Humans

Great flick. Well worth the watch. Don't bash it, unless you watch it. The reality is that we are just visitors on our world. Take a minute or two to think about what the Green New Deal would have done to the planet. fossil fuels are the only things holding us together....but having said that, we need to develop efficiency and capture of greenhouse gasses and make that available to the developing world that's polluting at a rate almost incalculable.

....I'm pretty sure the only sustainable fuel coming from Al Gore, is out of his ***.

I started recycling yrs ago and now it's nothing but milk jugs, water; no plastic bags of any kind. I smell conspiracy. No real idea for reformulating any of this stuff, and by the way; how big is that plastic puddle out in the central Pacific Ocean?
......in reality, most of our recyclables probably end up in Bio-mas plants as fuel......no kidding.

Our recyclables are ending up in landfills as it isn't economical to recycle.

I still have a place to take glass food grade and aluminum. No one wants tin or plastic. So off to the landfill.

Yeah, just stand at the dock in NY and watch the garbage barges go out.
That's observed evidence!
Or from China or India, the worlds worst poluters hands down
air or garbage
