What did you find out? I read your post about the dizzy still turning after installation. :rolleyes:
 
383 distributor not a 440 one ,I was going with a dual point one I had and thought it was for 440,so I guess I'll sell it unless someone wants to swap for a 440 dual point. I do have electronic 440 one so I might go with it.
 
I measured the difference between the two once and it's not much. I bought an older Mallory dual point for my 440. It was new and still in the box. Been working great so far. Condensers were the problem at first, finding the longer lead one was a problem. Mallory condensers are junk. Good luck!
