I'm planning for next year already. We stayed at the Rodeway inn in Dillsburg. The Room was clean and priced right but the noise from Route 15 was Horrendous.
So I'm looking for recommendations for next year. Looking for a Decent priced room that doesn't sound like a highway runs through it. Thank you

The Hampton Inn on Harrisburg Pike. The company that I was leased on to for 2 1/2 years has a terminal in Carlisle. There are plenty of good local places to eat nearby, the parking lot is safe and if you book it in advance, it's around $100 a night.

Hook up with a couple other folks & book an Air BnB....

Have stayed at the Holiday Inn Express on 11 for a few years now but this year it sucked. Hotel is only a few years old but is totally worn out already. Service was poor, staff could care less. No real breakfast which was a huge hassle for me, I need more than coffee and a crappy muffin in a plastic bag. Didn't clean my room nor did they clean it very well from the previous person... seriously!

It's too bad because it's convenient and hanging out in the parking lot in the evening is a lot of fun, have had some good times there. Definitely stay somewhere else next time.

Funny whenever I drove thru Dillsburg, I got stuck at every friggin traffic light.

Hampton. Harrisburg West, Mechanicsburg. Great digs. Restaurant next door. Quiet. Bring your wallet. $779.49. Four nights.

I travel to Carlisle quite a bit to work at Land O Lakes.
I used to have like Gold or higher status at Hilton and we stayed at the Hampton in Mechanicsburg.
A little bit of a drive but the the Hotel was always good.

The past 4-5 years everyone in my office is using Holiday Inn so now my rewards points are with IHG.
But they vary widely in the Carlisle area.
There are two newer ones to the west of Carlisle that are likely your best picks.
The one on the Harrisburg Pike (closest to Carlisle) is fair, the one on Carlisle Pike (towards Harrisburg) is not very good.
We stayed at Harrisburg West, technology parkway but they've let the place run down.
They wanted to charge me to park under the building, the sitting chairs in the room were stained and looked gross and they aren't cleaning the rooms.
(Trying to make back their money on the housekeeping staff)
I'll be calling the manager to tell him my thoughts.

Well, we tried making plans for next year already and there are no hotels avaliable 2 days after the show ends! I hear there is gonna be a 2nd event going on next year near if not in Carlisle THE SAME WEEKEND as the show and you know what that means, no hotels and more traffic

I stay at the Homewood Suites Harrisburg West in Mechanicsburg. Nice place, full rooms with a real kitchen. Nice brew pub/restaurant next door. No idea what it costs, wife has a gazillion travel points from work.

Comfort Inn Mechanicsburg. I got there with my wife and learned that 62 out or 65 rooms were booked by corporation for their "warehouse workers". The other cars folks who have been there every other year were placed somewhere else I was told.
The room was nasty, staff could not be less concerned. I'll never go back there. I told the manager that the next hotel update needed to be the wrecking ball!

Try the LaQuinta by Wyndham in Mechanicsburg. Right now the rate is $169 per night, but if you book for the following year at checkout, it's $99 per night.

Booked! Although I had to haggle to get to $179/night from her opening $199/night.
Actually, my cousin raved about that place when he stayed in 2019. It was first on my list after last weekend. Thanks for the motivation and info!

The guy behind me was staying at $259.95 a night (4) nights he stayed and my friend who vends with me was $750 for 3 nights where he stayed... Happy to go to the Nats and only pay $447 for 3 nights!!
