I have replacement Halogen lamps on the Coronet. My Imperial and D300 still have the original incandescent bulbs. I'm looking to upgrade all three to brighter bulbs...but NOT the goofy halo bulbs that look ridiculous on our cars, IMO.

What conversions have you had good luck with?

As said rewiring relays in should help a bit. When I checked the voltage at my headlites with the eng running it was 13.1 and the battery and hot feed on the firewall had 14.5. I figured it had some voltage drop since the wires for the headlites goes through a 50 year old headlite switch and the firewall but did not think it was that much. Once on relays they are a good bit brighter as the relay takes the headlite load right from the hot battery post on my firewall right to the headlites with no voltage drop now. Ron

Stock incandescent lights and a plug and play relay kit from @Crackedback .
Headlights are as bright as my 2009 Grand Marquis.

Also use stock halogens with relays. Right now pretty good at night. Recently acquired Hoppy Headlight Aimers to put the headlights back to factory alignment. Anxious to try them.

The hoppy kits work well! I’ve used them when I was at the dealer years ago. Score on finding that, you could rent it out so much a alignment every time and it would be worth every penny!

I’d make sure whatever you use is DOT compliant. You don’t want to cause an accident due to blinding an on coming vehicle and also always aim them correctly with an alignment kit.. Getting blinded by all the lifted trucks now days gets old as does the cars that do it. IMO
