Long time Ford guy (don't be too hard on me) trying to learn as much as possible to help my Father-in-law with his new project.
He doesn't do much in the way of forums or social media, so I'm trying to educate myself on an entirely different world, to better help him get his 65 Belvedere back on the road.

He recently lost his wife of 50 years, and mentioned to me he'd like an old car to possibly join my wife and I on some of our automotive mis-adventures, namely HotRod Power Tour, or Crusin the Coast. He told me about the hotrod Belvedere he had back in the day, and mentioned he wouldn't mind another one (or even a Nova :realcrazy:)
Apparently fate was smiling, and a very decent example showed up, the trailer was hooked up, and came back with enough car to keep him busy for a while.

Go easy on me, I'm learning my way around the pentastar, I'll try not to be much of an annoyance. (If he'd said he wanted a Fairlane, or Torino I'd already have him hooked up with a 460, but he's gotta be difficult)

I am kinda digging his old Plymouth though... just don't tell my FoMoCo buddies

Welcome from Michigan the Motor City! Nice old Plymouth he has there. Losing his wife of 50 years is a tough gig brother. Glad he'll have something to keep his mind busy. You came to the right place for help/direction! Hell, we'll even help a Ford guy. My favorite Ford is a 65-66 Fastback Mustang w/289 Hi Po. 440'

Welcome from North Florida !!!
Sorry for his loss, glad he found something to keep him busy.
Tell us more about the car.

Welcome from Kansas. Good looking Plymouth, should be a great project and I'm sure you'll both enjoy working on it. I know this is a Mopar site but many of us can speak and understand FoMoCo. For over thirty years, Pop's 1964 F250 has been powered by a 1964 Plymouth 318 Poly. Ford guys sure have a funny look on their face when he starts it up. It was fun watching his face lite up talking about it last Friday at our local swap meet. Enjoy your new project.

I started out as a Ford owner back in 76. It was a 50 F1. Got my first Mope around 77. It was a 73 340 3spd Duster. We have a 13 Flex in the garage. Mama's car. Welcome!

Nice looking car. As far as Fords go, a 1957 Meteor, 2 door hdtp or vert was a nice ride. A little fancier than the Ford. Hope all goes well.

welcome to FBBO from NorCal Sierras

I loved my 49 Ford Tudor Pro-Gas drag car, had a Chrysler/Milodon Hemi

my dad is a Ford man,
I tolerate it :poke: Just kidding

Welcome from Indiana. From another 65 Belvedere owner.
Joe Suchy is one of the best guys to deal with for reproduction parts. On this forum 65satelliteman has a lot of trim pieces for early B bodies. Others on here are more than helpful. Good luck with the project.
