What kind of pliers do I need for this clamp?

Am I missing out. What happened to the Corbin Clamps? The flat bands were used only on fuel lines right?
From the look of the OPs picture it’s the fuel filler hose to the tank.

Your correct, these clamps were fuel system clamps on the OE installation.

These clamps were used on fuel filler hoses. Like on my 66 Charger. They work ok for this no to low pressure application. The kit I got to replace the original hoses included the correct clamps. I successfully used an electrician end cutter to crimp them. Maybe not the correct tool. But for a one time user it worked.

.....I'll add this.....gas tank lines can be a bear to get going.....the pliers made for crimping that have a few versions, some with front and side crimp capabilities.....get those. Makes the job cleaner and far better
The version with side crimp sure helps.

We use the ear clamps at work on pnuematic hoses . 150 psi year in and year out zero issues . The European automakers have use a similar style for more than 50 years for high pressure fuel lines .
30psi coolant hoses wouldn't be any concern.

My reply is the
Dorman 800-461 Fuel Line Hose Clamp Pliers for about 10 bucks.

Not sure If this type of clamp was not installed correctly by me, but one day when my car started, then stopped running and would not start again, it took a bit of figuring out it was out of gas and could not figure out why".. This clamp ( used in the fuel line filler) had loosened and let it slowly leak out in my garage... I did not use the same clamp again..

Nippers are designed to cut. They will squeeze the tabs closed but if you don't smash down the top it won't hold. The proper tool will squeeze the band tight and push the top down to keep it tight.
