Inline Tube Rant!

I have been talking with them for about a month on a project 65 coronet I am working on. Of it isn't "standard", they want no part of it.

Asked about nut sizes, he couldn't and wouldn't find out what sizes were on their lines before I purcjased.....the lines that are made "right there in their own shop".....

Yea, they have been less than helpful and more of a hurdle to deal with.

I experienced a similar thing with InLine Tube. Called the Right Stuff and they got me exactly what I needed with no fuss.

I bought a set of six pack fuel lines from them that didn't fit right. I contacted them and the representative told me my carbs were the problem. Also I bought a complete set of SS brake lines from them and ALL the flares needed to be redone. I'm looking else ware for hard lines now. Sorry IN-Line, but I don't have the time to go backwards.

I had the same experience this year for my 67 Charger. I did not check all of the brake lines upon arrival. When I went to install months later, similar problem and same response, waited too long to check the items after delivery. So I only needed one short line for my caliper, so I called Classic tube, classictube.com, saw their ad in mt Antique Auto Maazine, which I use for my 36 Packard. I sent him a photo of the part, I had it delivered that week. Sometimes we are too trusting with all vendors and need to verify what we buy. We assume everyone is fair and hinest like ourselves. I would just find the part you need somewhere else and move on. That's my two cents.

I also had a problem with Inline. I ordered and paid for all the lines needed for my Roadrunner, on Friday at the Nats. When I got home Saturday, the box was already there. Opened it up and went through it, and it was missing a couple of parts. Over the next month, I called, and waited, and sent copies of my invoice, and called, and waited, and sent copies of my invoice, and called, and waited. They’re less than an hour from me, and I could’ve driven there to pick up what they shorted me, but I’m a busy person and thought they would just jet it out, which they did, after a month of back and forth on the phone. Had I had my buddy Ken go there, he would’ve gotten it done in about 2 minutes, but…..

I had a problem with one line in a kit. I called them and explained what was going on. They asked me if I had the old line which I did. I took pictures and measured it as instructed. They sent a replacement line which fit. The front parking brake cable was another story. I had it for a long time before installing on my restoration. First time I used it the end popped off the braided cable. I called them as I felt it was a safety issue. All they said was sorry you have had it to long.

Yeah, I had the kit for a while, but I just think it's shitty customer service. Everything in the rest of
the kit fit perfectly, so I think whoever picked the kit screwed up! I just went on Flea Bay and bought a
25' roll of 3/16" stainless tubing from, . . . . . . Inline Tube! WTF! I'll bend and flare my own for $26.00.

I've had some issues such as those stated by others here.....and we also buy the stainless line in bulk rolls along with the various fittings and have purchased over the years the needed tools to properly make Our Lines in House for a Big Saving in money. The tools and tubing roller to straighten out the rolled lines have paid for themselves many times over. Old school way is to do it yourself if you want it done to your own satisfaction. Don't skimp on the tools $ as the lines are a little harder to work with, but very doable . kbfallon.

The annealed stainless tubing is a breeze to work with! Can you buy the wrapped armor too?
