Dad used to buy the 'demo' cars because they were tweaked to be really nice and I believe that because my first car was a dealer demo and that thing was nice and tight. EVERYTHING was right to the point of perfection!!! It also had no rattles what so ever.
Been pouring and blowing hard for over 30 hours. Power off and on all night. Finally cleared around 3pm... rain again tomorrow so swapped spots tonight so I can set up the shifter linkage tomorrow.

I just want to say THANKS to the 2 dozen or so of you, out of the thousands here on FBBO, that followed my mess through the past year and a half. It certainly helped me get'r done. The last 1.5 years has cost me about 3 times what I originally paid for the car and a LOT of heartache and sleepless nights. It wasn't a car that I ever wanted to tear down, work on, or spend money on. I said when I bought it back in 1990 that I would never restore it or spend any unnecessary coin on it and I had managed to make it 32 years without doing so until I fawked up that pop machine...
Been down that road before.....a slight mistake snowballs into a huge expensive one and most of mine over time has cost a ton! Don't think I would have had the patient to do what you did with your car.....in fact, I know I don't! It's said that pictures do not do a car justice and would love to see it in person as your pics do show a beautiful machine. Thanks Tom, but just "Joe Blow" finding reasons to get up each day. You're on that awesome list as well... with your "little" stash of trinkets and parts... and your box building, that's an art in itself!
Thanks for the laugh!!! I can hear you now explaining why the 7up plate is on the car. "Well, a 7up machine was the cause of me having to restore the whole dang car!" Huh.....??
