Jason Line wins Sox & Martin challenge at Indy

Good for him!

When I was stationed at King Salmon Alaska in the USAF around 1990, he lived down the hall in the dorm from me. I think at that time he was a Buick guy. Fast forward several years later, one day while I was watching some drag racing event I saw him on TV. Pretty cool to see a guy I knew before he became "famous".

I just saw the video where Herbs' son says both finalists were disqualified by NHRA tech post-race
and that they're going to take 1st and 2nd place prize money and evenly split it amongst the other
14 racers.
What was the DQ for on the finalists?

Jason Line won the Sox & Martin Hemi challenge at Indy on friday. He's one of a few that builds his own engines. Guess he can build more than chubbies.

Jason Line scores emotional Sox & Martin Hemi Challenge title

Link no good for us mere mortals.

I saw the interview with Bruno, on FS1 last night/yesterday
after he won the 'Hemi challenge' 8.20 something @ 160+
for a real (within the rules of a real S/SH) S/SH 68 Hemi 'cuda
he built the engine (435cid, not some near 600cid deal) gen 2 Hemi
& he drove/tuned, but it's someone else's car

Jason Line you could tell he was getting all emotional,
during the time he was talking about Ken Black/the KB,
of KB/Titan racing (w/Greg Anderson & others)
he almost broke down too

very cool he won...

I always like him, good guy

Too bad. I was happy to see him win it.
I guess he didn't use a Mopar "rubber crank" when he built it.

Makes you wonder if all of the cars in the field have some miniscule infraction.

I think Mike came up with a nice solution since NHRA didn't want to run the #3 and #4 cars for the win.

They had a feature on the tv coverage on Sunday with Jason Line winning. After the announcement of no winner, I don't think they even mentioned the Hemi Shootout in any of their other broadcasts.
