What did you do today....other than work on your car!?

My wedding cost about 750 bucks and was in my back yard.

350 of that was catering by a BBQ joint.
Another 200 in liquor.
I think the rest was sombreros and appetizers.
It was a Cinco de Mayo theme since it was on 5/5.

Wife and I were married in North York City hall in 1982, 18 and 20 years old. $25 for the license and $50 for the chapel rental. Minister appeared younger than us.. LOL. 75 bucks total cost and my Father bought 8 steaks that we cooked on the hibachi bbq, on our apartment balcony, for everyone in attendance. Wife and I, her Maid of Honour, her boyfriend, my parents and my Sister and her Husband! Just wish the brother in law had of taken a picture of us driving off in the Bee..

Visiting family in upstate NY, went to a car show outside of Rome, NY.
About 40 cars, Mopars were well represented.

I'm usually not stumped at car shows, but here's one I've never seen before: 1968 Saab Sonnet 97 V4. Meticulously restored.
Fiberglass body, asymmetrical hood bulge.

Cleaned and measured a set of Chevy pistons yesterday...got to wipe out the cylinders and check it now. Been awhile since being on my feet for longer periods of time and my knees hurt by the time I was done. Also cut down a small (very small) tree that came up right against the fence. Sold an old floor jack and oxygen/acetylene bottles on Friday after cleaning them up some. Today is a day of rest lol

Finished up an installation today of an Emergency Alert System that I designed last year - second site completed. Went to get the small loader fired up and it wouldn't tip the bucket either way.... probably due to the rats that had been nesting in behind the control panel - chewed a few wires. I did a small temporary fix, and applied some insulating tape.... the guy who services that machine will come in tomorrow and do proper repairs. Special plugs & pins etc....
Machine runs fine now...fine enough for me to leave site.

I would have posted in the "Put your feet up" thread....but there precious little room in that cab for my clod-hoppers as it was.

Deck rusted through in a few places on the 30" mower I have at the shop.

Found a new one on ebay.
This one was $150.
All others I can find are $250.
Looks like the exact same part.

This will be a fun project.

Might rhino-liner it before I put it on.

Sitting in the waiting room for my wife's first colonoscopy.
I have had three so nothing new for me. I did chuckle watching her run to the bathroom last night and this morning. Well at least she got her steps in. Lol
