Does anyone have any personal experience with using one of the Edelbrock performevRPM intake manifold knock offs that you’re seeing on eBay and other places. I believe the reference numbers are 7186 and 7193.

Engine masters did one with a sbc. The rpm was best, but the rest weren't far off

Yeah actually I do. I thought well for the price I'll try it and if doesn't fit I can send it back. I would buy another tomorrow if I needed one. It fit perfect and does all I need it to do on a street car. I bought it from Amazon
Hope that helps

I remember posts a year or maybe more back where people were checking them against good quality gaskets and finding issue with misaligned and twisted ports and bolt holes too. However, this was also happening with Edelbrock intakes as well.

concerned with fit and quality
I did get a rip off Air Gap and the machining was off causing vacuum leaks at the ports.Straight edge and a file took care of that.

bolt holes
Did have one bolt hole that was off enough I couldn't get the bolt started.Again a file took care of that.
The bad was R&R of the manifold and another set of gaskets. Live and learn..

If it was knock-off of a manifold that was no longer sold then I'd consider one, but otherwise I'd rather support the genuine company that designed and made them, even though they are probably still made in China.
I'd rather spend a couple of hundred bucks more for the real thing, maybe that's just me.

I already saw one on eBay that looked like an action plus

Correction: The ones on Ebay and Amazon and 440 Source are selling Edelbrock RPM knock offs.

Ebay/Amazon RPM knock offs/440 Source also sells these in RB and Low-Deck/B sizes

I am using one on my 340. Fit and finish was excellent. Had a minor pin hole leak but I smeared a small amount of epoxy and sealed it. Used an automotive smoke generator to detect it.

Zoom in you can see a vertical smoke stream.

I would certainly buy another but would test it first. It was obviously a porosity issue in the casting. This can happen to any mfger.

This the action plus knock off I was talking about

Yes, I saw those after I posted.

440 Source is also selling the exact same thing (same picture I think too): Dual Plane Intake Manifold - SATIN - B Engines 440Source made it sound like they made them up. And sounded like they were exclusive. Guess not.

440 Source is also selling the RPM knock off's too.

So 440 Source is selling both an Edelbrock RPM -RB and a Weiand 8009/8 dual plane intake knock off's/tribute/brought back from the dead.
