Just ground all the filler off the fenders, what the hell were they thinking- it was an inch thick and this was done back when a fender could have been bought cheap

Speed in and out of the shop back then. Not that hard to repair properly either. Reminds me of the door jam on my HemiCuda. It was pushed back an inch and "repaired" with bondo and washers behind the door striker. I had the G.D. thing jacked out in less than 10 minutes and then started from there, it wasn't that hard of a fix but the flat rater that did it just didn't care.
Getting everything banged out and patched, took the hood apart and found a big mouse nest in there. It only took me 45 minutes to drill it apart which was less time than I spent deciding if I should do it or not. Glad I did now all the urethane cushioning is dried up and gone, needs to be replaced.
Managed to get that fender fairly straightened without having to cut it apart, will need some filler but wont be an inch thick this time

last time I split a hood open, I drilled the 5 or so pieces off of the frame for total clean up; couldn't help myself
Those kind of idiots dont even realize it is usually faster to just do it right!

Finishing up the metal work, I saved the deck lid for last as I looked for another one. Not willing to pay 1200 for a repop new one that would probably need work anyway I tackled the one I had. It had been hit a couple times, the fin was bent up and the top sheet metal buckled and oil canning badly. I cut the fin off and straightened it, cut a slit down the middle of the top skin to stress relieve it and welded it back together. I think I can save it.
Put the hood back together after I cleaned it up and epoxy primed, replaced the urethane foam dampening gobs and welded it back together.

The 3M dampener epoxy
With the metal work patched up and hammered out the best I can get it, I sealed it all up with epoxy yesterday. Had just enough left to do this, I used 4 gallons so far on the shell and suspension parts.
