Just ground all the filler off the fenders, what the hell were they thinking- it was an inch thick and this was done back when a fender could have been bought cheap

Speed in and out of the shop back then. Not that hard to repair properly either. Reminds me of the door jam on my HemiCuda. It was pushed back an inch and "repaired" with bondo and washers behind the door striker. I had the G.D. thing jacked out in less than 10 minutes and then started from there, it wasn't that hard of a fix but the flat rater that did it just didn't care.
