Super nice finish panel. Been sitting in the house for 40 years. Straight and clean. Would prefer pickup as I’m not sure about shipping this and hoping it makes it. Located S/E MICHIGAN. $500 cash.
They’re not that bad, I typically set mine on a folding harbor freight stand around the garage. I glued foam blocks to the bottom for setting it on the roof (that’s a bitch by yourself). I have 2 cars with lift off hoods. I now hate working in cars that have hoods on hinges.. lol
512 all the way. This is a very mild combo that gets driven. It still dips into the 10’s with a six pack, mufflers, and drag radials. I’ve never really optimized it 1/4 mile abilities do to the lack of any safety equipment required for the ET it runs. it’s just a street car anyway.. lol.
Happy to report she smooth as silk now. Instantly rips 7k with part throttle blips like it’s a 340.. now to take some gear out and do a wheel alignment.
It’ll handle the biggest 4150 you can put on it. If the car has a gear and convertor I’d use the single plane. TM7 will work good. Ran a TM6 on my low deck 512. Went into the 10’s on it a 4000#.
Convertor might be a tad loose for the cam but I Run a similar combo in my roadrunner with a 4.10 and a 9.5” vert with shorter 28” tall tires. Works very well.
Big single plane with a big carb. I’d put a 4500 series M1 on it with a 1050 dominator. Use a more modern intake if hood clearance...
Stroker cost the same as a stock stoke engine. I’d do a 4.250 stroke combo with a Chevy rod to keep the internal pickup. Edelbrock heads will be your best bang for the buck. Hemi’s need some compression to run decent so 10.5 range or even a little higher with an aluminum block. If I were to...
I’ve done quite a bit of testing with 6 packs as well. Every car and combo likes something different. I’ve ran them on everything from 14 sec cars to 10 sec cars. I agree with the above as I set mine up for best ET at the track with slicks. If your tuning them on the street to not feel them...
I tried with a grinder, it ended up at a machine shop as it was going to be a bitch. These blocks are super hard. I initially thought no big deal with a burr… lol
