I’m putting my front and back together in bagged all the bolts for the front fenders. I forget what the longer bolts go to. Can someone please help? I think there are maybe four of these longer ones.
I took a big leap of faith tonight and decided to put on the vinyl top. Definitely a huge learning curve. I had everything measured out so it was centered. What I did wrong the first time was starting from the center out towards the passenger side about 10 inches I applied spray glue to the top...
When I got my car it didn’t have a bumper or brackets. I now have those and I’m getting ready to put everything on. I’m trying to figure out what size bolt holds the bracket to the rear of the body. I tried looking it up and from what I can see it says 3/8 x 16 is the size and thread. Does...
I’ve read many posts on how bad these repo pieces can be. I recently ordered some and I actually tried to get the better ones “made in the USA“. I got them recently and I think I could’ve made better ones out of a roll of tinfoil. I mean I’ll get these things to work but they’re going to need to...
Finally got my deck lid on and got my new bumblebee emblem. There are two holes in the Decklid. When I put the bumblebee on only the lower peg is accessible to put a nut on. Does anybody know how to get the nut on the upper peg that is hidden by the understructure of the trunk?
My 69 Bee had no rear bumper when I got it. I am getting a new rear bumper but have not been able to find the flip down bracket. Does anyone have one or know where I can get one?
thank you in advance.
I just received my Phoenix graphic 69 Bee stripe in the mail. Unpacking it now to see what the position of the bee is. I also ordered the application kit as well as the Mopar technical decal kit. Looks like the bee is level in the stripe. I actually won’t need the super commando 383 air cleaner...
Due to recently finding small specs of black spray paint on my freshly painted 69 super bee parts due to kids painting their plastic models I am looking for the highest quality indoor/outdoor car cover I can get. I found this one and wanted to see if anybody had a better suggestion or something...
So I ordered a large weatherstrip kit online. I received it yesterday and was looking at the trunk seal. I did a little research in some of the past forums and I see now there is a less correct aftermarket trunk seal and one from another company called Steel that is more correct. The one from...
Hey everyone, I’m going through the list of procedures to reassemble my 69 Bee thanks to another member who provided an amazing four page list. I don’t see anywhere stated as to when to put the vinyl top on. Is that something I should do very first thing or can it still go on towards the end...
Hey, I’m looking for a weather strip kit for my 69 Super Bee. Are there any I should steer away from? I saw these two and wondered about the companies. I know classic and year one sell kits also.
I have an original front bumper that needs re chromed but I do not have a rear bumper. Who sells the best re pop bumpers and would it be best by to re chrome my original front or get a new one?
thank you, Tad
I tried to look through some of the forums but couldn’t find anything on this. Who sells the best quality rear stripe and bumblebee emblem for a 69 super bee?
Last night was a bit nerve racking. The culmination of the last 3 years of body work came together as I got ready to spray color (Y2 Sunfire yellow) on the exterior of my 69 Bee. Well, I did it!!! A few small problems during the process but I worked them out. The biggest of those was I had about...
I have already done the work needed in the engine comp and I just put down 2 coats of DP 2050 DTM PRIMER. I wasn’t planning on it but the primer came out perfect and everything looks good so I’m contemplating laying down some color right now. Top coat time For the primer says between one hour...
Curious if it’s OK or what the consequences may be of painting the inside of the trunk, the floors, and the firewall without scuffing them with sandpaper? I used a direct to metal DP 2050 primer. I put it on probably a month and a half ago.
Hey, sanding my direct to metal primer and getting ready to paint. I have a few areas where I sanded through. Can I paint directly over these areas or do I need to cover the burn through areas again? Also I’ve heard some people say it’s OK to paint directly over DTM primer and I’ve heard others...
